This was 100% worth the effort.

I cut the hand winch off and re attached it 6" forward. This gives me huge increase in the usable max vertical I can get while still rotating "around" the rear of the flat bed.

I think these locks are best suited to holding my spare on. I don't want these holding a live wheel.

Finally got some more work done on the Ram. I bought a "topside tool box" from Byers. 72X13X16 (LXWXH) even with the box eating up bed space I'm still at 52 inches wide inside the bed due to how wide we built the flat bed originally.

I just wanna chime back in on this. I have removed the "drivers compartment" and my entire cage building thinking has changed due to thinking about cages and heads hitting them. If it's a street car. The cage is more dangerous than it is safe and or cool.
