I finally got a chance to look over the wiring as was recommended and sure enough a bad wire was shorting out. I fixed it and all seems to be well.

No I do not have a set of rockers just the bare heads. What sites would you recommend that I visit to get more exposure to the T/A and AAR crowd. I have had them on EBay with little interest. But maybe I will try them there again. I just sold a nice set of X Heads and a nice clean '69 340 block...

I get in the 68 Dart GT this morning when it was still a little dark. All is well until I pull the headlight switch on and the left indicator light comes on (solid not flashing), the temp gauge travels way over to the hot side and beyond; the fuel gauge goes over to the full side and beyond...

I am laid up at the moment but in a week or so I should be able to get them to the shop and strip them down and do the clean up and mag them. These are a set of T/A Cylinder Heads suitable for rebuilding. They will get to the machine shop to be cleaned up and Magnafluxed for cracks prior to sale. They require offset rocker arm assembly not included. $1,000.00 Price is firm.

I was measuring the deck height on my 360 and it was 9.602. An old reference book in the shop indicated stock deck height was 9.94 but now looking on line it seems to be 9.6???? Which one is it?

I started to clean up a 340 block today and it has a 8.20.67 date code. I thought these only came out in 1969. Any ideas?

I gotta run out right now but I will try to look tomorrow. Dates codes indicated the -3 is 67 and -6 is a 69 if that helps.

In the current world of Mopar casting/part numbers the superceded parts get alpha characters added to the end of the part number rather than the old way of changing the whole number. I was just wondering if something changed with the heads. So thanks for the reply what you are saying makes sense.

I assume that in SS you must run the original carb with the limited modifications allowed or can I run something different.

block casting number is 2780930-340-6 then I have another one that has a number 2780930-340-3. What does the 6 and 3 designate? Cylinder head casting number is 2531894-A and the other set has casting number 2531894-E. What does the A and E designate? Thanks

Rule book says: Must be correct year make and model for cars engine. Fuel or air bleed passages may be resized. Drilling idle holes in primary throttle blades permitted. Other modifications prohibited. Seems very restrictive.

I have a 69 Dodge Dart Swinger that I would like to run in SS/JA with a 340 combination. I am told the biggest issue will be getting the AVS 4612S to work. It needs to "massaged" but staying within the NHRA rules. Who is out there that has had success doing this? Thanks for the reply.
