    1974 Dart 440 tuning help

What RPM's would you be seeing these increased numbers? What RPM are you starting these pulls at? Obviously the numbers you are seeing improved are under the curve, since timing would be all in by peak HP RPM, maybe not at peak TQ RPM. Usually on a dyno I start my pulls between 2500 and 3000...

    1974 Dart 440 tuning help

I wouldn't lock a street car down either, but run a MPP dizzy and see what the curve is. It might as well be locked. His car is never even under any significant driving load under 3500 RPM. If it's not detonating and it isn't pushing back on the starter, where's the issue?

I don't run that brand, but I've been running a Braille for years. It the same battery model that would go in a new style hellcat.

Very mild cam, should be enjoyable for a street car.

    Crane CCH-312-2-NC

Don't get caught up in advertised powerbands. It's utter nonsense. On my 440, I run a much bigger roller cam and the best standard port heads money can buy, topped with a deep ported Victor and mine peaks at 5,900.

What cop pulls your wheels off and checks your brakes on the side of the road? I guess follow the laws if it's that strict. I'm glad I don't live in Aussieland, especially after seeing what they did to you guys since 2020.

What disk brake upgrade for a 74 duster, not Wilwood

Most states have inspection regs. So once you make it through that inspection, couldn't you just do what you wanted?

What disk brake upgrade for a 74 duster, not Wilwood

I'm a huge fan of Wilwood, and have used them many times. I prefer 4 wheel disc brakes as well. If you want something other than stock up front, but it has to be Mopar, i'd look into Viper Brakes up front. Check this site out. Cass has a lot of brake kits and options for you to choose from...

Post your wheel and tire combos.

It reffers to the shape of the portion of the wheel that connects the hub to the outer wheel. It's shape allows for different size calipers. A low pad design wood be for your stock or smaller brake setups. Weld does a nice job illustrating this on their website

    wilwood disc brake ?????

Money, as in cost, is very subjective and relative. I've used Wilwood brakes on many vehicles, my own and customers. I have never had any issues with them. Willwood is very clear about what size wheels are required for each brake kit and again, i've never see clearance issues if these...

    Holley vs proform

I've used both and dyno'd both. HP is very similar between the two. 950 vs. 950. Single digit difference, tipped to the holley. The proform isn't built as well. The tolerances aren't as close.

    Weld draglite 10 lug

Smart, because almost anyone that owns one of these cars for any period of time ends up changing to the BBP, so all money spent prior is wasted, with a very small resale market.

    Weld draglite 10 lug

8" wheel Measure for backspace. Error to having too much backspacing if in question, because you can always push it further out.

    340 Pinging using 94

Here is wat we need to know to begin to solve this problem. What is the cranking compression? What is the initial and total timing? And, when is it all in by? What gears are you running? And, with what transmission? And, with what height tires? What carburetor and does the tune seem dialed in...
