    Wanted : SBP front hub

Need a good quality front hub (no studs no problem) for 10 inch drum brakes. Stud holes need to have good teeth. During the last wheel swap my passenger side front studs started spinning in the hub. Pulled it apart to find the hubs holes were almost worn smooth. Guessing the previous owner...

    Late 60's/early 70's look

another Bump. let's see them. Just finished polishing up a set of aluminum slots - and picked up a pair of nos g50-14s. Running airshocks but still isn't high enough for tire clearance.... thinking some spring re-arching is in order.

    Raising the rear

my goal is accurately (but safely) recreate the look below. Currently the 7" slots with the g50 tires don't "stickout" past the fender lip (like below), but they do come into contact with it.

    Raising the rear

I did and appreciate your thoughts on the S/S - it sounds like the best option. As far as the tire size, I'm really trying to stick to a period look. I sourced these NOS g50's from a wheel/tire collector buddy. It's the widest period tire, with the shortest profile that will run on 7 inch...

    Raising the rear

Yes Yes - the air shocks were a fix the previous owner installed to combat the sagging springs. Obviously not the long term solution. One of my other projects rolls on a complete airbag suspension... trust me I know the impact (no pun intended) that an aired up suspension imparts. I really...

    Raising the rear

I'm going for a late 70's street machine look, but don't want to result to shackles to fit my G50-14's. Even with the airshocks fully inflated, there still isn't enough height. The above pic is from the test fit last night, car is on the jack. What springs would you recommend to get the rear up...

    14x8s with 3.25 backspacing on a Swinger?

Thank you. I suspected it was the case.

    14x8s with 3.25 backspacing on a Swinger?

Am I completely insane to think 8's with a 3.35 backspacing will fit my '72 Swinger? The car is equipped with airshocks, but I fear the wheel/tire will rub right up on the wheel opening lip. I have not yet determined the tire size. Thank you in advance for your reply.

how to make dog dish hubcaps shine

I should have read this thread a few days ago... before i bought some aluminum caps. 2 of them are real foggy, and I'm sorry - I'm just not going to strip polish paint seal a set of caps for my driver. I'd wondered why the stainless caps were so much more expensive. Now I know. on the upside -...

    1974swinger-mopar newbie

I'm running a 318 with a mild cam, edelbrock 600 carb & performer intake, out to headers. It does just fine as my daily driver... and I'm driving through downtown Chicago every morning and evening. It's a rock solid combo with enough power to lay some black lines through intersections.

the 318 runs like a champ. the swinger is my daily driver - and requires weekly tweaks. the 318 was built up by a gentleman that rounded a few corners and cut even more corners. it runs great ... after a new gas tank, new carb, rebuilt trans, and rebuilt heads. all new brake system (master...
