Colorado springs and trinidad, Co members Inside please.

Work will potentially be taking me to one of these places for a few weeks to possibly a few months. Does anyone know of, or have a place I could park 2 trucks and a 20' bumper pull camper that would have 30 amp elec hookup and city water hook up? Hotels ive called on are insanely high for the...

Everyone likes new toys, don't they?

Everyone likes a new toy, right? Just picked this up today. Starting to go through it a bit to see what needs what. Here are a few details; 1996 Silverado Chevy BB swap. Was told it was a 4xx cube crate, its not and i didnt expect it to be. Th350 trans, probably not the best condition behind...

    Craigslist scammer targeting my son...

This is absolutly true. Best and safest thing to do would be to have your son open another account and close out the old account. I wouldnt even do a transfer of funds between old and new accounts. Im just iverly pataniod i guess, but ive never had a single issue with fraud. I also always use a...

Sears selling Craftsman brand to Black and Decker

I just bought my stepson damn near a whole set of craftsman for a tad over 100 bucks. 1/4" drive with 3/8" drive along with combination wrenches, both metric and standard, and a decent set of screw bits. Main reason for buying craftsman was the lifetime warranty, which had better stay intact!

Censorship rears it ugly head again!

Is there currently a Buyer/Seller rating similar to what eBay uses? A number beside our username may be beneficial for this very situation Ive quoted. Other forums I've used previously have had something similar. I only ask here because I think there has only been one thing I have used the...

    stall or not to all?

If you're already building with the thought of maybe needing to sell because of medical bills, STOP the build. You're already throwing money away by building a car in the first place.

    stall or not to all?

Do NOT cheap out on the stall converter. I put a 2k stall in a camaro I had once. Barely noticeable. Something in the 3000-4000 range is where I'm going next. You can drive them on the street easily if it's setup right. I've always been told to never run a stall without a GOOD tyranny cooler.

    help-understand Milleniums?

Please, for the love of whom you consider holy, reserve the "stereotypical" millennial behavior to the later born in the era. I was born in '82, and I'm very tech savvy and identify with a lot of the characteristics. But when it comes to the whining, sniveling, you owe me because I'm a human...

I hate to even think of it, but '65 Signet value?

I've muddled over this AT LEAST a hundred times, but I think in the long run it's probably the end result. The type of car I'm wanting will cost much more than a later A-body in terms of available aftermarket parts. I'm seriously considering selling My '65 Signet to give partial funds towards...

Rear lower Quarter and Wheel well patch panels

    She's HOME....

I crawled around under the car yesterday and it will need both of the front rails under the fire wall replaced/repaired and I found the driver side torsion bar mount is going to need some attention as well. With these things being a pretty important piece of the puzzle, where are some...

    69 barracuda; what's it worth?

Saw that one too, I was in the lower 3k range though. I know I don't want to spend the 7k. If he'd rake what the other guy was wanting, there might be a deal in there somewhere.

    69 barracuda; what's it worth?

I didn't buy it, and likely won't. I just got back in state yesterday and since I live in the same area just stopped by to take a quick glance. It will need at minimum a new floor pass side, who knows what under that. The floor was chopped into to get the 4 speed to work. ALL of the gaskets...

    69 barracuda; what's it worth?

It's a fastback. 318/4speed in it now. Factory /6 car. These are the pics I have avaliable currently. You can see, at least I'm pretty sure, that the passenger front floor needs replaced.

    Death at the local track

Was his cage adequate for 10.80's? How many passes did he make before he wrecked? He knew the car was in the 9.20'same with high 150's low 160's in late February. If he lied to tech, I don't know that I could blame tech or the track, unless he was making several passes at that speed...

    69 barracuda; what's it worth?

It's originally a /6 car, not sure of trans. Currently has small block/4 speed setup in it. Carpet is stripped out, the rest of the interior is likely rough are gone. will need at least passenger front floor pan replaced, rails I'm told are solid, some bondo in body. The trunk floor looks to...

    She's HOME....

Its deaf not going to be a /6 car. Guess I'll have to really look into how bad the fronts are and really get a good look at the torsion bar mounts and rear rails. already got the eng/trans pulled.

    She's HOME....

Well... some unexpected findings. The front frame rails are rusted. Right where they bend up from the floor is rusted through along the bottom inside egde. I don't think it's a game ender, but what do you guys think? I'll follow up with some more pics here in a few hours, for now here's just a few.

The proper way to store your ride for winter

Flat spotting is true. Go to a dealership and ask to test drive the vehicle that has sit stationary for the longest. It'll feel like it's about to vibrate apart for the first 10ish miles.

Car Haul Trailer, Steel vs Aluminum, Which Would You Choose?

Aluminum would be nice if you had something you needed to be hardcore on weight savings. I have an 18' trailer that has 2' dove tail and with a standard sized tool box for a truck bed, my Valiant fit absolutely PERFECT. I towed it with my 2014 f150 Fx4 and pulled great. If you're pulling for a...

    She's HOME....

The rockers and floors are solid from what I could see. Luckily the car has great undercoating still. I don't expect to have any repairs needed since it only sat on dirt for right around a year, the rest of the time was on the concrete garage floor. It does, and always has, needed lower rear...

    She's HOME....

The car has been sitting for the last 15ish years. I've had a plan to go get it from storage garage "next week" for the last several years.... we all know how that story goes. Finally got fed up with myself repeating that and went and picked the old gal up. Dragged it out of the garage with a...
