Hey guys. I have a fresh 340 in my 73 duster and earlier while it was running I pulled the positive battery cable off and it immediately shut off. Does this mean my alternator is bad? I thought it should run without a battery after its cranked?? Also no lights or radio was on either

Hey guys I have an a body console that I want to put in my car but I have a b&m shifter and don't really want to put the factory style shifter in it. Has anybody done this? Should I get a pistol grip boot to put over it? Ideas would be great. Thanks

Hey guys I'm putting an externally balanced 340 in my 73 duster with a 904 transmission and needed some advice on a flex plate. I understand that b&m discontinued this product and I would rather not put weights on the converter incase I swap motors. Help would be much appreciated! Thanks y'all!

67dart: yes it ran pretty good before the short, I used a 25a breaker, and I have a factory ignition system. Bill: are you saying bypass the ammeter to see if it is a short in the wiring under the dash?

See what you guys think...I replaced my ignition switch and put a circuit breaker where the fuse link goes. Car cranks and charges fine but has a bas miss. Would this be linked to electrical problems? Thanks

Well i used my ohm meter to find the short and under my steering colum there was is a connector that goes to the ignition switch. When the connector was plugged it I got .2 ohms (almost a dead short) but I found that when I unplugged that connector I didn't read a short anywhere. So I replaced...
