Just an update, the rad I used was a Champion CC2374. Upper rad hose NAPA 8645 fits 92-96 Dakota 318, lower hose NAPA 8920 fits 97-99 Dakota 318/360, with a little trimming they fit perfect.
I am putting a magnum engine in a '74 Duster and am looking for what rad hoses you guys are using. The local parts supply stores don't seem to keep much in stock these days or I would walk in to see what's close. My combo so far is '01 magnum engine with serpentine belt set up including truck AC...
If you spray it yourself and don't like the results, you can always get it redone later. I could see $15 grand maybe if it were on a rotisserie and you were looking for a show job top to bottom, but not to refinish just the exterior. But maybe I'm out of touch on prices, just got a price to re...
Chris, I wouldn't buy a cheap spot welder to put your car together, more than likely the welds will pop loose over time leaving you with more work. It would be better to invest in a mig welder and plug weld the panels on, will be less risk of panels popping loose and the mig will be more useful...
I have found that anything that Chrysler build that ended in a .7 was trouble for the most part. 2.7 4.7 5.7 all have their issues, do people have good luck with them? Yes, but lots of people wished they have never seen the pos. A roll of the dice, personally I stay away from any of those...
NO!!!!! not in a Mopar!,,,,now that that's out of the way. Great idea, nice to see different thoughts on how to do rack and pinion swaps. I have seen many CV F100 swaps, a first for me to see Jag swap, thanks for the info. Keep up the good work.
You need to move to Canada or Australia, buy a few things and you would wish you were back in the good old USA. Shipping was bad enough, now the dollar difference makes it a killer, might as well figure on double what it is advertised for in the US.
PS to those that think a customer is to blame even partially for being ripped off well thats the kind of BS that keeps scammers in business .
If anyone does blame you Chris, that's the same person that would blame someone for getting raped, no matter how you look at it, it"s not the victims fault.
I feel for ya Chris, but guys like that get away with crap like this all the time. There is a guy around here that charged a customer 20k to replace a bunch of body panels on his 57 Chev. The customer supplied all new panels, by the time the car was finished it ended up getting scrapped. The so...
If you like the setup that you have in the '69, I would pull it and put it in the '74. If you do swap, then you have to consider how much the value of the setup in the '69 will add to or decrease the value of the car. I have considered buying a HDK setup myself, I just don't see where you will...
How can anyone like these cars? Plastic, Mexican motored Fiats, yes I said it. I hate these cars so much,,,that if I could afford it, I would have a 2 door and a 4 door version sitting in my garage. Haters gona hate, I love modern muscle, comfortable, reliable, efficient and fast, how can...
You have got to love an answer like that! So PheonixGrapix, are any of the images on your website actually items that you produce? Kind of disappointing that you don't have pictures of your product on your website, but instead surf internet for generic images.
I don't think I would put money into a 7 1/4. Have you see the 8.8 ford swap, that is what I am going to do when I finally get around to swapping out my /6 for a magnum. Here is a link for you.

Chris
Is it a Holley? If so, more than likely power valve needs replacing. When idling, turn idle mixture screws in all the way, if engine dies, power valve is not blown. Hope this helps.
You're guess is as good as mine, they say a /6 will run forever. Forever is a long time, especially when the is no oil or coolant, I guess we will see. I at least hope it gives a good show and doesn't barf out a piston in less than a minute.
Might sound that way Chris, but after dealing with dozens of "Kijijidiots" offering me $100 or a broken big screen TV for a complete running drivetrain, I figure I would rather blow it up. This will finally make me do my 5.9 magnum swap that I have been putting off for the last year and a half.
I'm in, got my ticket in the mail. I'll be parking with you guys on the Saturday, but on Sunday the car will be up by the grandstand, we'll see how long a /6 will last with a brick on the skinny pedal.
