Hey all, The driveshaft I saved for my '72 Duster has a 'step' in it like you would see where a pipe is slipped into a larger pipe. Which way does that step go, toward the transmission or the axle? I'm about to put the new U joints in it and I'd like to get it right the first time. And a google...

Same here. Put a '68 Barracuda dash frame (with extra holes welded shut, etc.) in my '72 Duster and the bottom sat so low on both sides I had to get a bottle jack in there and jack it up with all the top bolts tight. Worked fine. My thought was sandblasting it caused it to distort but it was...

I picked up a Molotow Liquid Chrome pen for scale modeling and found the experience to be hit or miss. It has a bad habit of the tip either drying up and not replenishing or coming out in an irritating blob. I'd certainly try it if I needed to but I'd be super careful.

That's curious-mine dropped right in. I had to move the studs to the forward-most holes so the seat would go back far enough but the tracks were a perfect fit.

How's the foam? Having just gone through this you might be better off reconditioning/repairing what you have than buying new.

Yup. Details like bushing styles may vary but it's essentially the same part. I tried the older longer sway bar with a pair of newer LCAs and they were way off.

Probably because there's nothing there. You might want to look for photos of '73-'76 because they don't have the tabs on the fenders and there must be a different way they mount that top piece. Were it me I'd get some fiberglass cloth and some epoxy and make the tabs...
