I used the advice I got on here, glad to say i think with your help I got it worked out. It seemed to start like it should today, will give it a couple of more days to see how it acts, don't really drive it much as with good weather I ride my bike.

I was able to work on it today, no smoke from the carb, set the gap to .008 in the dist. and set the timing and it seems to be starting like it should.

I saw that. I sent you a pm.. And I believe the Valiant is more flat as the Dart is rounded and the body line on Darts are higher up..

Looks like you have your work cut out for you.. My dart was almost that bad on the p/s.. The guy i got it from just screwed a piece of metal to the lower 1/4 panel and then filled it with bondo. Luck I had a parts car to get what I needed off to fix it. Good luck.

I do have to say it looked allot better going down the road than it did just sitting at the shop..You will have a lot of fun with as the early a bodies are a fun ride.
