    89 318 Build Options

I have been wanting to tackle porting heads on my own for some time. I have read many posts about how to do this. I just need to get the tools and find the time to do them. I will also be taking the heads to a machine shop for a rebuild too. Quality machine shops around here are hard to come...

I have ordered my KB167 pistons. Once they arrive, the block will be getting bored .030 over. Next is cam selection. Which of the following would be best for my build? http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/cam-specs/Details.aspx?csid=655&sb=2...

New High In Pain Level - Gout

I too suffer from Gout. It started in the joint of my big toe. Of course the wonderful military doctors misdiagnosed it as a bunion. The only way I can describe the pain is if someone was actually poking the bone in your toe with a sharp needle. At night, just the weight of the bed sheet on...

    89 318 Build Options

I just acquired an 89 318 out of a truck for practically nothing. It also has 302 heads. After pressure washing all of the crud off of it from years of leaking valve cover gaskets and tearing it down, the motor doesn't seem to have very much wear on it at all. The previous owner said it was a...

    I think I have a MSD problem!?

Little different situation for me a few years back on my Jeep. Motor did the same thing yours is doing. Switched back to the original ignition on my Jeep and all was fine. When I took the MSD box out of the Jeep I noticed water dripping out of the box. Definitely not going to be covered by...

    Fuel cell / Exhaust issue

Have you thought about using oval tubing to go under the frame connectors??? I personally haven't done this, but I have been thinking about it for awhile. I like the look of the exhaust of the AAR Cuda's exiting in front of the rear tires.

[WANTED] 1972 Dart Tail Light Lenses

I am looking for a decent (driver) set of tail light lenses for my '72 Dart Swinger. I am only looking for the outer (red) ones. I don't need the reverse light ones, just the red ones. Thanks.

    Odd live wire..

If you switched to LED lights you will need electronic flashers. The originals will not work with LED bulbs and will give the symptoms you describe.

    Leaks!

Do not put the sealer stuff in. Fix it right the first time and you won't regret it.

So this is what $6000 buys you nowadays?

All the above is true, however, this time of year the classics stay in the garage due to the salt on the roads. Come spring, they are all over the place on the weekends.

How much did you pay for your A Body

I was going to look at a slanty that was rattle canned flat black after work. On one of my breaks I checked CL and saw this 72 Swinger project for sale. Instead of looking at the slanty I went and checked out the Swinger. The seller stated that he literally found the car in a field, hooked up...

    clips for hood hinges?

Try these from Lowes. Simply cut off the white plastic cover and you have the required clip. http://www.lowes.com/pd_137271-37672-880524_4294710820__?productId=3012519&Ns=p_product_avg_rating|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_avg_rating%7C1&facetInfo=

    hood hinge clips

No picture, they were in the hardware section. They look like the caps on a child's radio flier wagon wheels. The ones I got are white. Just look at all of the hardware bins and you will see the clips.

    Heartthrob exhaust

Heard alot of good reviews on Hearthrob exhaust. However, I will never order from JC Whitney. I had a real bad experience with them years ago over their so called "free" shipping on an item. The item I ordered showed up at my house via truck freight and the truck driver had a shipping bill...

Fast and Loud Thinks Shelby Dakota is basically worthless???

I was in Dallas last week and me and a few friends went over to Gas Monkey Garage. There were signs all over the place saying that filming was in progress and that it was a closed set and to keep out. Well, we got nosey and just walked to the back shop. After looking around a bit, Richard...

I got mine from Lowe's. They actually came with a plastic cap on it. I just removed the cap and viola, just like factory hinge clips. If memory serves me right, they were around .60 each.

    70/71 Front Bumper on a 72?

I have a 72 Dart Swinger. I have been looking for new bumpers and am having no luck at all. My car is not a restoration, it is more of a resto rod. My question is, will a front bumper from a 70/71 fit a 72???
