    Our First NFL Game!!

Yeah, it is. It’s a joke/art at the M3 Rock Festival. They unbolted the bed sides, bumper and crossmember, pushed the Dodge back to the tree, jacked it up and bolted the frame to the tree so it didn’t touch the ground and then reassembled everything.

    Let's talk... Ironhead Sportsters

Nothing wrong with a vintage Yamaha in my opinion. I ride a 1978 Yamaha DT175 with a Big Bore Kit & Stroker Crank. The little 2 Stroke is punched out to 297cc. 6-Speed, tops out at 14,000 rpm (though the stock Tach only winds to 12k) and far beyond what the speedometer will spin to. With my...

What are you listening to ?

Avantasia. The vocals have a sort of Bruce Dickinson/Iron Maiden feel to them, only with more emotion and range (if such a thing was possible)

    Our First NFL Game!!

Dude, put on a hat or something (I’m joking, but it’s a suggestion) I wear a bandana at sporting events and concerts, it helps keep the long hair tamed down a little bit... though I have been mistaken for a member of the band a few times at rock concerts...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

An A Body (The Holy Grail) Reference in a movie script I was writing as a joke. It was titled The @$$hole, and was intended to offend everyone. At the end it takes a brief serious turn and the drunk mentor turns the keys to his Plymouth over to the wimp he’s training. I stopped working on it...

    Mattress shopping!

I don’t even know what brand my bed is, I don’t sleep on it. I’ve spent the last 15 years sleeping on the floor, or in a recliner. I find beds to uncomfortable after that.

Do you use the self serve checkouts?

Agreed. Except my concealed carry permit doesn’t apply in Jersey, so backup had to stay at home. Come to think of it, I encountered a lot of bizzare stuff on that round trip. I didn’t know all gas stations shut down after midnight in NYC. Talk about a hairy experience, running on fumes in...

Do you use the self serve checkouts?

Had a gas station attendant get into a fight with me, out of state, once because of that. I got out of my diesel, jammed my credit card into the pump and stuck the nozzle in the fill spout. He came running over, with a friggin baseball bat, because I was pumping my own fuel. Who knew it was it...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

One of us yelled (I may or may not have been standing through the sunroof too), “Would you like an extra large order of Mc****, with a pair of Mc****s”. “Special Sauce, no extra charge!” It’s sad when you’re “hypothetically” the bad influence on former military! It’s supposed to be the other...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was gonna say, if it was I’m sure we could all get drunk and try it again. Lol!

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I might have been a part of it... at least we were smart and assigned a DD. I was egging on the guy who climbed through the sunroof. Then the woman answered the speaker. “Sir, if you don’t calm down I’m going to have to ask you to leave!”

Stop in for a cup of coffee

We almost got kicked out of the McDonald’s drive-thru that night too, after the bar... Someone in the group climbed through the sunroof of my Duster and started getting belligerent with the drive-thru speaker...and there wasn’t even anyone on the other end at the moment.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

There’s a lot of need to know information in that story. Apparently, when you’re the only Civie (who’s off his rocker and can drink enough to kill an elephant), surrounded by former army and marines that are in the guard now, at a drinking celebration... Well, **** happens. I thought for sure...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Where are you at in the guard, base wise? I’ve got a few friends in there, and if you’re at Indiantown Gap you’ve probably met them and I’ve probably met you (you weren’t one of the guys that tried to help us steal a Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Neon Light from a bar, were you?)

Pirate Metal from Running Wild and a sorrowful rock tune from Jorn Lande.

Butt dialing....But what do you call it if the phone is in the FRONT pocket?

My IPhone 6 has been a piece of crap, at least when it comes to being sensitive to temperature. The damn thing will act like the battery is dead if it drops below 50 degrees outside (and I keep it inside the interior pocket of my coat), plug it into a charger and it powers back up and shows a...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

On another note, why do people at Carlisle always think they’ve got a Gold Mine on motorcycles. Every time I’m there I find at least 10 vintage bikes and none of them have titles (and/or are basket cases) with $1500+ price tags. It’s worth scrap if there’s no title, it can’t ever be registered...

Ahh, the GL was the Aircooled 2 Stroke 3 Cylinder and the GS was the 4 Stroke 4 Cylinder. I never dealt with the GT models

    quickest clutch replacement.

And since it’s an all aluminum transmission and transfer case (probably 90 pounds on the transmission, another 70 on the Transfer Case), no jack needed. Just bench press it up in and wiggle to slip the input shaft into the clutch. Hold the combo up with one hand and use the other to start a few...

Not sure about the GT750’s, but the Suzuki GS750’s were over 100hp/100ft lbs. I had one of the GS750’s, wish I still had that beast but it weighed 10 times what I do.

    quickest clutch replacement.

Did that with my ‘92 Dodge D50 4x4. All of about 25 minutes to yank the transmission/Transfer Case and install another transmission/Transfer Case combo, on ramps in my driveway. 4 bolts hold the top load Shifters in, 6 bolts holds the bell to the block, 2 hold the starter, and you just pull on...

    Truck shopping

Just to throw it out there, I live in the rust belt and these are all still in use. The 1975 D300 Dumptruck has just over 100,000 miles on it and it averages 14-16mpg (with 4.88 gears, a 318 and a 4 Speed) The Orange 1984 Dodge D50 has over 600,000 miles on her and she averages about 17mpg...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

My dad called me one day with a similar story about getting launched over the handlebars. “Hey, I bought a Suzuki ATV for the kids, (my younger step siblings and some of his grandkids), it’s a little bigger than the one you’ve got, but it’s hard to start.” “Did you try jump starting it? Maybe...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got that right! I’d love to get my hands on one of the vintage 400-500cc 2 Stroke Enduros but I’d probably kill myself on one of those monsters. My grandfather has a Suzuki GL550 3 Cylinder 2 Stroke, now that he’s too old to safely ride it, he “makes” me ride it (makes me as in he throws me the...

My TS250 Savage, aka Leg Breaker. She sounds pretty mean for 2 Stroke that’s almost 50 years old, that was last registered and ran in 1981. I bought her about 5 years ago for $200. There was a pair (a ‘71 and a ‘72) for sale at a second hand shop and they wanted $300 for both or $200 each...
