    5 speed swap in Dart.

I've had a theory for a "budget" setup and ideally I want to try and piece it together at the end of this year/beginning of next. You take a chevy colorado MA5($300ish), mate it to an AX15/NV3500 dodge bellhousing(price unknown). The shifter is around the crossmember area, but the pre-fab 200r4...

Ebay twin turbo setup Checklist...Turbo a SBM for under $1000? :)

Even though it is self learning, I'd pay a little at the dyno. Or learn the software and tune with a wideband on the street. My car has a self tuning system(I'm betting more primitive than the one you're ordering). It works well, but I wouldn't trust it to self tune forced induction...

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

If that brass barb is the return(as it appears), it wouldn't have 60psi on it. Return lines are low pressure.

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

That barb looks like it would be a return fitting rather than a vent.

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

I'm kinda shocked that the pick n pull's near you have them. Everytime I've seen an LS truck at pick n pull, its either a burned out mess or mangled to the point that I wouldn't trust the integrity of the block/heads

Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

wow that's cheap. I'm gonna have to go on a road trip when I start engine shopping. The local recyclers want at least 800 just for a 4.8

LSx Valiant Build. Take a look inside...

Yeah, you probably could've put together a better 5.3 setup and had overdrive for that much.

If it was so great, Mopar would not have developed the LA. There are like 10-20 LS swapped mopars. That's far from cookie cutter. Are the results cookie cutter? Sure, but who doesn't like reasonably priced reliable power?

They get the job done....but not as well, with worse drivability, and for a lot more money.

The poly engine is the bucket of bolts that came before the LA. Its pretty much crap.

LSx Valiant Build. Take a look inside...

Ok, show everyone the turbo poly that makes 600hp, gets mid 20s gas mileage, is relatively inexpensive to put together, and relatively inexpensive to replace when you blow it up. You have to deal with the reality that keeping cars pure and original is death for a lot of them. Future...

There may be some evidence that this is not necessarily true. Especially with someone being now referred to as "emperor" in this country. But putting world catastrophes aside, I agree. What's important is enjoying the car(your way) and keeping one more on the road.

That's unfortunately common here. A lot of people need their safe spaces away from facts and reality.

    Who's shipped a K-member?

I'm sure its not cheap, but I'm trying to get a feel for the cost of buying a used one and getting it shipped to me versus buying the QA1 crossmember. Which has free shipping through summit. So how far did you ship and how much did it hurt your wallet?

Hurst Driveline Small Block MOPAR to TKO Bell Housing

It could also be that they designed that bell with E-bodies in mind and don't know if A-body linkage is different.(I don't either)

Hurst Driveline Small Block MOPAR to TKO Bell Housing

My guess would be that they don't know because they're use to using hydraulic clutches that do not have release arms. Not to mention, it may also be uncommon for people to order that bellhousing for use in an A-body.

Anybody running the RMS AlterKation? Was it really worth the cost?

So, no aluminum heads, aftermarket intakes, carbs, overdrive transmissions, or else except 100% NOS mopar stuff?? I mean people are welcome to do the all original stuff(I'll never get why), but virtually every car that someone builds is a "Custom car with a (Insert vehicle) as a base". It's...

Anybody running the RMS AlterKation? Was it really worth the cost?

I wonder if anyone has gotten some back to back seat time between a prepped car with a borgeson box and an Alterkation car. Personally, my main grip with the basic handling feel in my car is the sloppy/overpowered steering. And I wonder if losing that sloppyness is what impresses the people who...

But, do those tires have stiff enough sidewalls for hard cornering??

The QA1 cross member(uses torsion bar suspension) is only $650. Not a giant investment for the end result.

LSx Valiant Build. Take a look inside...

There's a huge thread on it in the drivetrain section. Depending on your goals its a pretty nice option, they really cheap and can be found in most yards with disc brakes and they're suppose to be relatively easy to cut down for an A-body.(Or as is w/ a small spacer if you want it in a duster...

    392 in a 70 Duster

Magnumforce still exists(somehow). The product that QA1 purchased was from Cap Auto.(If I remember right). And the thing to note is that QA1 didn't purchase the product and immediately rush it to production with their name slapped on it. Which suggests that they have put some thought into what...

    HRG: Fishtail Cuda episode today

You see it when they show the engine bay and during the previous episode when they began the build. It looks like they just bolted the coilovers through the shock mount. Which from my understanding was an area not meant to handle the vehicle's weight.

This car looks amazing, but is anyone else concerned about the front shock mounts?? It was bugging me for the whole episode.

LSx Valiant Build. Take a look inside...

What exactly is "classless" about using a better engine that allows you to daily drive a classic?? Maybe car show people will be upset, but who cares about them? Car shows are mind numbing.
