Just for grins I dug out the HEI harness I made when I was first building the car and went to Napa and bought this made in the US HEI module. Hooked it up with the Pertronix coil I have and the motor runs great. Thinking I’ll run this for a while once I figure out where I’m going to hide it. Not...

At least the Napa TP45 HEI module I bought yesterday is made in the US

    Going back to Chrysler ignition

Since I had it all apart, I just put my HEI module back in just to make sure it wasn’t the distributor or anything else with the motor. I popped this back in hit the key and she fired right up. This really is the simplest form of ignition to use in my opinion. Don’t remember why I decided to get...

    Going back to Chrysler ignition

Well I have decided to take the MSD box out of the car and try running an orange ignition box without the dual ballast resistor. It was suggest by a few guys on this forum to run a 12 volt 300 ohm coil. I have ignition one and ignition tied together and I have a constant 12 V when the key is...

A few more winter pics. I usually keep a cover on the car while in the garage to try and keep the inexpensive paint job from being faded by any unnecessary indirect sunlight. The cover was off to run the car for a bit and to wipe down some stuff under the hood. The Maaco paint still shines up...

My dad is a disciple of Rutt’s. He grew up in Passaic. People rave about hotdogs at that place personally I have never seen what all the fuss is about. I was there with my own family about 12 years ago and I have to tell you man, that stuff is in edible. We live down the shore, which is where...

Back in December we participated in a Santa Parade of classic cars in Bloomfield NJ. We had a great time and I’m happy we participated. I’m pretty sure we were the only Chrysler product out of 50 something cars. Misty was certainly a head turner…

Yes the same. So how do I get back to where I was before and still eliminate the take off stumble?

That’s above my knowledge base. I do know that this new distributor is very friendly towards setting up a good curve. I do have another option for another guy to take a stab at setting it up. What’s your opinion on the converter?

    Unknown rebuild specs

Over 10 years ago when I first began my Duster project I scored a rebuilt 74 dated 318 with a stock bottom, stock heads with a 1.88&1.6 valve job. The lifters and rockers are stock Chrysler parts. Camshaft is unknown however the lift measures just shy of .480 This motor was intended for another...

    A 1974 Duster - My 2nd one, 41 years later!

Seems like he really doesn’t have a use for it and wants to sell it. On the other hand, mine took eight years and I’m still doing little things to it so I would never sell.

Chrome bumpers swapped in for the originals we had to paint when the car was being resto-modded due to bad pitting and a minuscule budget. Next up is modifying the Jegs 2-1/2 dual exhaust kit we used to now have an H pipe.

A couple things. I have softened my stance on the H pipe, and I will be putting one on the car within the next month or so. I also had a set of beautiful bumpers chromed at Tri-City plating. They are absolutely gorgeous. Every time I walk out to the garage and look at the car, I get a little...

TF I have Flowmaster Delta flows on her now and I’m getting tired of the racket. Looking for something more subdued. And I need to get some 275s on the back of the car. Looking from the back the car needs some more meat.
