I have the same hard headliner in my car. The texture was peeling, but overall it was in good shape. I bought some contact fabric glue and material that matched my interior and fitted it to the hardboard. It turned out really well and cost me about $20 dollars in material.

I would say you are on target with the most commonly used being 2.5. That is the majority of what I've seen anyways

I think I tucked mine under the seal as well, and I wasn't thrilled with the look of it. Of course on top of, or butted up to, didn't look much better. I don't recall, or didn't notice how it was in originally before I took it out.

the seats in the pics were with the 73, but I liked the ones I had in the 74 better, so the 73 ones went into the 74 for sale

As long as one side has the PCV and the other side has the breather, it will work fine...I have the same set up as you....PCV on the passenger side of the motor and connected to the carb. On the Drivers side I have a breather that replaces my oil fill cap like "inertia" stated

AAR was/is right down the road from me. As far as I know, he is not in the autoparts game anymore, he does boats now. I know the shop is still open, and the building still has several boats out back but I haven't been there for about 6 months, so he may have added car stuff back to their "menu"

I put the 302s on my 318. Combined with the kb 167 (if memory serves), brought my sickly teener compression up to 9.5 with no milling. Runs well and I am happy with them.
