Hello friends.
After a long time without publishing anything here, I have news for my Dart.
Finally I bought subframes to improve body rigidity. They were made here in Brazil by my friend Adriano Tilly.
Any tips on how to weld them in the car without problems?
Happy ney year to you all!
Hey Serj! This one that I bought was fabricated in november 1995. I have respect with tools. Always use the way the manual indicates. That´s why is good to have a lot of tool, each one for a propose.
Thanks 48jeep! I will not use the Snap-On TorqOmeter professionally, just a few times. I always backed my Pisttsburgh torque wrench when not in use. This is a good advice.
Oh Rusty, just bought it. I look over again on eBay and found not better. Have someone cheaper, but don´t look so nice as this one. But thanks a lot for the advice.
Thanks Daves!
I always search for properly use a tool or any other device. I used my Pittsburgh torque wrench very carefully and in the right way. The same will be with the SnapOn!
Thanks for the Tips.
Thanks guys!!
Now I have a click torque wrenche made by http://www.harborfreight.com/, Item #239.
They look good but I don´t feel that can do an accurate job. I know that dial wrenches are hardder to use. But I want precision first!
Thanks agains.
Thanks guys. Asking about the quality.
I have one made by Harbor Freight and want to replace it for a better one. I´m searching about possibilities.
How to know if they are accurate?
Hi Guys!
The is great to drive around. My friend Johnny Dart was wondering how is the Dart´s interior. So here some pics you to see how we made Mopars:
To the next thread!
Let´s keep talking

Thanks!
Hi Clhyer! Thanks for your comment.
We have some regions that cause more others, principally near to beaches and very humid cities. Think that is like in US some good and bad weather for rust.
No, here we never produce anything under Plymouth name. Only imported.
Our gas is garbage...
Hello friend from FABO!! A lot of american Mopar guys ask me about brazilian Mopars. So I decided to open a thread to show you what Chrysler Brasil made over here. From the begging to the very end.
Feel free to comment!
It started on September 67, when Chrysler send the executive Eugene...
Hey Johnny!! Thanks a lot about your comment!! It´s a 74! Here in Brazil the production line was different than USA production. Basically we have two generation of Mopar here in Brazil. The first one is from late 69 to late 78. They are all a-bodies. The Dart´s from these age are similar to the...
Hey Cudavert! Those dimension that I told you are torsion bar thickness. Sorry about that mistake.
You asked about sway bar, I checked the service manual but it don´t have this information. I will measure the sway bar thickness with caliper gauge!
Hello Aj!!
When I was installing the LCA the polyurethane bushing always came out of the pivot, about 1/2 inch. I try to remove all lubrication, put the torsion bar in place, but just moving little the LCA and it move back.... The bushing look in good shape.
One more thing, a lot of...
Hi my friend!! Sorry about the lag on answer!
Yes I have a lot off brazilian mopar pics!!! If you want add me on Facebook: André Monc is my name. My e-mail is [email protected]. I use those contacts more than here in FABO.
Thanks!
Hi again my friend!!!
Thanks for the tip!! I told the same thing to the car owner. But he isn´t interesting on that. The previously owner welded two small metal sheet on the torsion bar end. They reinforce the LCA a little.
On my car I used FFI reinforce plates. The LCA is now much more...
Hi Cudavert, thanks for comment!
Yes! All Brazilian a-bodies suspension is similar to 68 American Dart. Early style from 1969 to 1981, when the last word a-body was produced!
Our sway bars have 0,870 inch (22,1 mm) all years and all models have the same sway bar. In my other thread some...
Hi Poison Dart!!!
I used off set bushing on my Dart project. My friend, owner of this car, want it original, without racing proposes, so we will use PST polygraphite UCA bushing. I love the effect of more caster. I can run my Dart on 7° of caster using off set bushings.
Thanks for your...
