    I finally got around to taking a picture of the vin number on my 69 340 block. I was told it was from a 70 Dart, that was wrecked and sent to the wrecking yard back in the mid to late 70's, but not 100% sure. The block is 20 thou over and is complete.     So I noticed that you prefer the SS pins over walnut shells. What was the outcome of using the walnut shells on nuts and bolts? I don't plan on doing any brass.

    Thanks Goldfish. I did add a picture of the door sticker, which is also hard to read but does kind of look like 3 72. scroll up and check it out to see what you can see from the picture.

    Strut Rod help / Tips

    Check the torque specs. I know on my 72, the strut rod bushing torque specs are, at the bushing end is 45 ft lbs and at the control arm end is 105 ft lbs but check the specs for your year first.

    I wasn't sure if it was a 3 or an 8. So if you look at the SPD date on the back of my fender tag just above the hole in the bottom, would it be 302?
