Sounds petty. I replaced my spark plug tube gaskets which negated the gap problem. I threw the napa box in the recycler. I can retrive it. The gaskets can easily be made from flat cork as well.

It's not about sound, it's about performance! 2bbl carburetor? What's the setup? if it's a 2bbl, 2.50" exhaust is all you need. I think it's funny because loud exhaust does not mean performance, usually the exact opposite. Port your heads and exhaust manifolds/and or upgrade to exhaust headers...

Only for those who can't switch out a regular (15lb) starter in 5 minutes like those of us who have dealt with that crappy rebuilt ones. I would HESITATE to do this upgrade only if your racing.

I have not had to deal with this issue in years...I think maybe it is the starter if I recall...now days they build the solenoid with the starter...you should be able to test the starter by jumping a screwdriver across the two terminals on the solenoid.
