In the third picture it looks like some drunk stamped 157816 on the passenger side in the front

That is the only thing on the front of the engine. There is no VIN after that or on the side by the oil pan. It's cast in 72 but the "JM" I thought meant it was a 73? IDK?

Not really. I live 15mins from the Summit Racing in Ohio and their web site is a mess. They show stuff they do not have. Just went there for a camshaft last week. They showed 5 in stock at the Ohio store. Got there they had none. Back ordered until next year. Even paint I needed... nothing...
