Yea that’s the way I did it earlier this morning it’s as close as I can get it. It’s charging right now and I’m good to try to clear out the gas it’s probably flooded right now.

    72 Demon not starting

That sounds about right with quality control that’s been going on for a few years. I’m on the fence of yanking everything out that’s “new” and put the old stuff back in.

    72 Demon not starting

Hello everyone so I’ve been working on my 72 trying to get it up and running. I installed a MSD 6AL and Coil on it and not getting anything. I have spark the Holley red fuel pump is regulated and holding 7psi, the carb is spring fuel. Only thing I can think of it timing. The engine wasn’t built...

[FOR SALE] 1972 Dodge Demon 340

Time has come to sell my 72 Demon Project I’ve been working on. I’m out of time for it and about to move houses and can’t take it with me right now unfortunately. It doesn’t have the original engine or trans. It has a tone of new and good parts. Has front split bench seat with arm rest in the...

    Big Block seems to slow

13.89 @ 100mph now. New plug wires, plugs and distributor cap, with a little more tuning woke it up tremendously. I’m happy with it now but it still a weird car because it doesn’t run on the ignition box since previous owner had points setup in it. But going to keep it like it is and build a...

    Big Block seems to slow

Got it to where it comes off the line nice after a lot of tuning last night and today but now I have popping in the exhaust at around 3k Rpm. Chasing that issue now but slowly getting better. This car was held together with boogers and bubble gum I swear.

    Big Block seems to slow

That’s what I’m wanting is a double pumper. Got it to where it’s way better after I adjusted the flap on the secondaries and made the whole difference. It doesn’t completely die when I floor it from a stop now just slow. Gears will fix that issue and probably a performance ignition box.

    Big Block seems to slow

It’s getting way to much fuel in it. Put the accelerator pump on lowest point and helped it out but not a whole lot. Going to pull the jets and see what they are and go smaller if needed to see if that helps.

    Big Block seems to slow

So the issue is stock cam(if not stock not much bigger) big intake and big carb. Probably going to go down to a 600cfm from the 750 that’s on it and see if that helps more. But at this point I’m Just glad I got it to where it actually runs decent.

    Big Block seems to slow

First track results was a 14.4 @ 96 the thing is a pig off the line bogs hard unless I slow roll into the throttle. But once off the line it picks up great. The 2.94 gears ain’t helping at all so guess that and going to a dual plane RPM intake vs the huge single plane I have on it.
  17. Airborne_Tanker

    Big Block seems to slow

Rebuilt the carb (found sticking rear blades not opening), retimed again set to 12* initial and 36* total (probably off from ideal due to where the timing marks are hidden under the water pump but seems to be the best I can get for now), new kick down cable, and readjusted shift linkage pretty...

    Big Block seems to slow

When you come from a mid 9 second daily driven hellcat everything seems slow just not this slow.
  19. Airborne_Tanker

    Big Block seems to slow

Well guy said it had a small cam in it but is also the same guy who had a copper tube rigged for a kick down so I’m sure it’s stock. Going to run through the rear gears and compression test today.

    Big Block seems to slow

I picked up a 73 Duster that was supposed to be a 440 big block but ended up being a 65 361bb. I was a little pissed at first but got over it because it still runs and drives fine has the 727 and 8 3/4 rear decent interior and body. But my issues have started now. I installed a kick down cable...

Few little issues need some guidance on.

Update: Fixed most of the issues i was having however, i still have the horn getting constant power, transmission is still leaking even after re-setting the torque converter but not as bad, and oil pressure dummy light still flickers. If it pops on i tap the dash and it goes off. Installing a...
