TrickFlow intakes. Not what guys want to see

I'm thinking that it's not so much that they can't find a foundry to make the intakes, it's that the supply of aluminum is at a premium and the cost has skyrocketed. I'm seeing the lead times on materials go from two weeks to 50 weeks. When they say "50+ weeks", that means that they have no idea...

How do I determine the value of a car?

Hello everyone, When buying and/or selling, what is the best method to use to determine the fair value of a car? Thanks to everyone that replied. I'm looking to sell my 72 Charger; looking to buy a 67-69 Dart.

Braided vs solid tube fuel lines

Who would like to share their experience or opinion regarding the pros and cons of braided fuel lines vs solid tube fuel lines? I am not looking to form my own solid tubes, but rather buy the pre-formed ones. I am looking to replace mine soon and would like to get some feedback. Thanks and have...

    318 Stalling at 45 mph

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Here are some of the things I did: I have new gas in the tank with a carb cleaner. Put the old coil back in. New fuel filter. Took fuel cap off. Is there anyone in the area (Chicago/Schaumburg) who would like to help? If not, does anyond know of a...

    318 Stalling at 45 mph

Oh yah, when I hit ~45 mph, it stumbles and then I lay off the gas and it won't get back to normal for a few secconds. One or two times, I had to coast to a dead stop and had to let it sit for a minute more before it ran normal again. It never completely died, but no power at all.

    318 Stalling at 45 mph

It is an ingnitor II and a new Carter fuel pump. The pump is getting 4.5 - 5 psi but I have not checked it while it is under load. I'll check all of the connections and when the snow melts, I'll put the old coil back in, take it for a drive and see what happens.

    318 Stalling at 45 mph

I have a 1972 318 mostly stock but with Edelbrock Performer manifold and Edelbrock 600 carb. I recently put in a Pertronix coil and electronic ignition system. Since then, I'm assuming that it is related but maybe not, the car sputters and stalls every time at 45 mph. When in neutral or park, it...

    318 Bogging at 55mph

The resistor is a factory 2 prong.

    318 Bogging at 55mph

The coil instructions said to remove the resistor. I did that but it wouldnt run. When I reconnected it, it started and ran good. The instructions for the elecronic ignition said to keep the resistor. So, it is connected now. Do you think this might be the problem?

    318 Bogging at 55mph

I have not changed the pick up filter. I don't know if it has ever been changed. Sounds like I will have to drop the tank to do this. I may do this next weekend, unless I get any other suggestions.

    Local Chicagoland guys?

I am in Schaumburg. Don't have an A Body anymore (67 Dart). I got run over by a semi on the IKE going 65mph one morning. Totally totaled, but the radio still played on when I woke up! Now I have a 72 Charger. Is there anyone in my area who wouldn't mind giving me an education in the timing on a...

    318 Bogging at 55mph

I have a 72' 318, mostly stock except for Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, Summit Headers, Pertronics coil and Pertronics electronic ignition. The problem is that every time I get it up to 55 mph it bogs, looses all power but does not die. I slow down and it continues to...

Summit 4 in 1 Gauge Survey

I saw the Summit 4 in 1 Gauge for $130 in the Summit Catalog. Has anyone used one of these? I am looking for some feedback on the accuracy, quality, etc on this gauge as it is a good idea if you don't want to clutter up the dash with a lot of additional gauges.

    318 Stalls After Warm Up

It' has been raining everyday here. Tried it in the garage and did not die. I think it has to be in gear. I will look for vacuum leak Sunday if it's not raining.

    318 Stalls After Warm Up

I have a 72' 318 that is all stock except for the Edelbrock performer intake and 650 Edelbrock carb. I have new cap, rotor, plugs and wires. It starts up and drives fine until it warms up. Then it stalls when I hit the gas. Any ideas on what to check?

    Turn signals died

OK, I'm off to the parts store to see if they have a turn signal flasher and not a hazzard flasher. The turn signal flasher that was in there was slightly taller than the hazzard. The guy at the parts store said that they were the same, but obviously, he is mis-informed. I'll make sure to tell...

    Turn signals died

OK. I have more info: DartLarry is on to something. The three prong can seems to control the ignition light. I don't have a seat belt light and the headlights work regardless of if the can is in or out. The ingition light bulb was bunt out, so I replaced it, but now it wont go out (probably why...

Non Mopars on For A Bodies Only

This is a great site and has given me a lot of information and motivation to get working on my car. I used to have a 67 Dart, until I got run over by an 18-wheeler on the expressway. Now I have a 72' Charger (Note: not a A body) and still get valuable information from experienced and...

    Turn signals died

OK. Here is the picture of both the hazzard flasher can and the "other" can. The hazzard flasher on the left is new. The old one is a three prong and has markings "SF3227813" and "7B01". I checked all of the connections from the steering wheel to the plastic connectors under the dash. All...

    Turn signals died

I found the buzzer. It is a rectangular steel can mounted directly on to the fuse box. It sounds like is is sick and dying. But the unidentified can has three prongs and that is where no one seems to be able to match it.

    Turn signals died

I have a 72 Charger and the turn signals just stopped working one day. Here are the details: Everything else works: hazzard lights, horn, brake lights, etc. Replaced short, fat, two prong turn signal can (works with hazzard lights). Checked contact on turn signal cam in stering column. OK...
