    got new distributor today night and day difference in shaft play... I still had to reset air gap to .008" with brass feeler gauge. but this one should work! find out this weekend.

    ok I figured it out, the upper shaft bushing or bearing is too loose of a fit, caking too much side to o side play when installed and distributor shaft pushing up naturally against the oil pump drive gear. and going clockwise is causing the air relector gap too large and not causing spark...

    Even verifed 12v positive at coil and b terminal at hei module. And verifed 12v negative on ground on heat sink... Im baffled....

    That is exactly how it is wired. I even ran a groynd wire from heat sink block to ground stud. Just tried another coil this one epoxy flame thrower 1.5 ohm. And still no spark.

    1973 dart, had a fbo system on vehicle removed thinking it was my problem, now I know it wasn't, I just installed back to a stock over the counter resisted coil, and side resistor, states in wring diagrams online, 12v ignition and relay cranking 12v goes to one side, the others to the generic...

    Epoxy coil mounted on fender. Not hoizontal. Not vertical. Mild 45 degree angle. Rubber insulated for vibration.... Does the coil need to body grounded in the coil bracket?

    I know the inputshaf neefs changed for sure. How about the pump and reaction shart support? I plan on changing. The valve body for sure. This way i can interchange. The high dollar converter. Between transmissions.
