I'm going to call around tomorrow and see what prices I get for magnums. 1995 and up need weights on the torque converter, or do I have that mixed up.

I'll check flex plate again, still checking for exhaust leaks but so far nothing. I've looked at swapping in a magnum and I'll be in a grand for one with the engine and all the other parts to drop it in. Still an option, I'm taking my time planning this out. Edit: Can't find any exhaust leaks...

stock rod length is 6.123", which from what I've seen is the same for the 340 and the 360. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

compressions fine, you can't hear it from up top and I have pulled the covers, nothing seem wrong. It's coming from the bottom of the engine. It's not quite a tick but not quite a knock either, hard to explain, I'll try and get a video or something of it today.

I'm going to drive it for now, seeing as it's stopped leaking from tightening the bolts on the pan. Next time I'm pulling the engine hopefully it's to drop in a magnum and a518. Going to order the seals this week.

sounds good, the main leak is coming from the speedo and then from somewhere up front ish, still need to pin point it but it's too late for that tonight

I installed a shift kit a few months ago in it haha, then found that the seal is leaking, I think. Still have to pinpoint it but it shouldn't be that bad if I do. I put a drain plug in the back of the pan when I did it as well so that should help. Just a bolt with a washer ontop to pull the new...

dumb check seems to have solved the issue, one bolt in the rear was loose enough I spun it with my fingers......so I tightened them all up. Cleaned the area and cranked it till the oil pressure came up and it's bone dry, nothing coming out. I'm debating about pulling the engine/trans though...

The red is the degreaser I used, turns everything like that. Gonna crawl under there right now and take a looksie, I'll report back later.

I sprayed to whole area with degreaser, going to keep cleaning it tomorrow. That is the rear main that's poking out there though right, not the pan gasket.

I could acquire one but I really don't want to rip the engine out of the car. I believe it's the bottom seal that's causing the problem. As long as I can get the pan out, which by removing the cross link in the steering it looks like I can get it out I should gain access to it. All I have to do...

Rear seal's started leaking :/. Going to go ahead and guess that I have to remove the steering linkage to get the pan to clear to wiggle out. Never done this though so anything is helpful haha
