    My Experience with TCI.

Fast forward again, while this is all going on, i pick up the phone and call Paul at TCS here in Langley BC Canada. He builds a lot of great racing and street converters i found out. I wish i had heard of him first. After 3 calls and emailing him my dyno sheet, he sends me out his 9.5" 3200...

So after i go to the machine shop, buddy there is a Mopar guy and he builds transmissions. I send email to TCI, i get a call back from Ondra who wanted to cover some costs? My Experience with TCI.

When i put this car together, TCI seemed like the logical choice. My local speed shop set me up with everything, 3500 stall converter, full reverse pattern valve body, deep pan etc. Being an old Chevy guy, i was used to the large opening from the inspection pan, and you could look up and see...

    thermostat removal

My big block makes 525 HP, aluminum heads, intake and Stock style aluminum waterpump. I have a 22" Smiths aluminum rad, 3" tanks and 2 large 1.5" rows. My car ran warm all the time until i got rid of that waterpump, and replaced it with a Flow cooler high flow waterpump. Best money i ever spent...

    thermostat removal

Put in a high flow 180 T stat. All you got now is the the water gets to 160, the Tstat opens and it stays open and acts like a restrictor, Get rid of that 160.

OMG. It hurts to look at those pics. Thank God My Duster was a rust free car to begin with. I wish you all the best on this rebuild, will be a beautiful rust free platform to start with when it's done. Are you going with the same colour?

    Dr Diff rear discs

When i rebuilt the duster, i ordered everything from Dr Diff. He set me up with a new proportioning valve and correct bore size master cylinder for a disc drum car. At least give him a call and see what he recommends for a 4 wheel disc car, the bore size may be way different?

    Racing Fun!!!

I just ordered a new TCS 9.5" Converter be here next week. This is mostly a street car, so i went on the conservative side.

    Racing Fun!!!

My duster is 3310 with me and a big block 525Hp and 552 TQ 3500 stall with 3.73 gear and a 275 drag radial. As a reference my engine builder used a Moroso slide rule and came up with an 11.62@116 as a number for me. After looking at your data, i am thinking 11.92 ish?

Ok makes sense, you have a decent 12 second car.

    Finally!!!

It looks like it is leaving ok, the body slowly separates from the back tire, the nose wants to lift but it goes back down fast. So yes adjustable shocks will help. More converter may help it leave too depending where the peak torque is .

Jet up 2 sizes at a time for MPH, when the mph drops off, go back 2 sizes. Add squirter size for 60 foot, go back 2 sizes when it drops off, or when you see a bunch of black out the back. drop down in air pressure if you are spinning, do you have adjustable shocks to play with? Just work with...
