This is exactly what I did in my 73 Dart I did a conversion on... I did, however, cut inside of the scribed line so that I had some material to weld the new tunnel on. I hope this made sense.
I think the Centerforce dual friction disc would be fine... might be a little aggressive but I bet it would not slip. Maybe Talk to Chris from Turbos Unleashed and see if he still has that clutch guy he deals with... It is what I ran in my Omni and it held 400 HP
The client we built it for was a Billionaire... Pretty sure she can afford a cleaning crew. Don't know exactly who she was but all I was able to find out is that her family was in the movie industry.
Just knowing you do drive it on the street is a good indication that the ride quality is good… I guess I was asking if it rode like a 1 ton truck… apparently it does not.

I know they are in and done with but my friend put one (stroker) together and he just “adjusted” them (squirters) so they would clear…. It was tedious and a PITA but it is possible to keep them… just an FYI
