Around the rear frame rail there is a big rust hole(fist size) were the body plug was. It is the same for both sides. You can see the floor pan on the inside.The floor pan is solid with no rust. Is there a replacement piece for this. Looks like it goes across the whole back end and is welded...

Its the perforated type with bows. It looks like it runs under the rubber on the front and rear window. So do the windows need to come out. I hope not.

Whats the process of installing a headliner. I hope you dont have to take the windows out. 68 cuda fastback.

Thanks, 360 it is. This guy also has a 354 hemi he is trying to flog. I am not interested in this motor but does anyone know anything about it. A friend of mine wants to buy it but he wants $2000CDN for it. I thought that was kinda high.

He is 21 now. Our insurance regulations wont allow him to drive until he is 25 anyway. Will be a four year project. Probably will do 360. Thanks for the advice.

Have a choice of purchasing a 360 or a 440. My son is building a 68 swinger. Will be for street. The price is right for both. 727 comes with the 440 which has 50k on it and runs. Any recomendations.

Thanks for the info. It is a comp cam (dont have the specs) edelbrock intake with a 780 holley engine is 30 over. Sits in a 68 cuda fastback. Right now if i hold the brakes its impossible to get rpm in engine. So by switching out to a stall i should be able to light up the rears, yes.

Could someone please explain exactly what a stall converter does. I have a 340 done up hooked to a 727 with a shift kit and 355 rear. Have no botom end but does chirp when shiftin into second. Someone suggested a 2800 stall. What will this do for me. Still learning. Thanks

Solved my problem. The arm coming from the tranny was the wrong size. Came off a column shift and i have a console, which gave me the wrong radius when trying to find gears. Its these little things that drive you nuts.

Checked all my wiring and circuits last night and found that i connected the two main terminal connectors on the firewall backwards. Rookie mistake. Switched the connections, but everything is still dead. Have checked all fuses, everything and i still get the starter regulator to heat up...

Thanks Does the motor need to be grounded to chassis. I didnt see any straps or clips for this. Would this have any affect.

Rewired whole car (68 cuda) as per factory manual. Dash is still original. New solinoid, new starter relay etc. Went to hook up battery and POOFF. There was a pop, like a light bulb exploding from somewere under dash and there was a faint burning odour. Also the starter relay got really hot...

Just installed my rebuild 340 Has a 780 double pumper holley Still have the duel points stock ignition. Should i change out to electronic ignition and how much would this cost. Would i gain anything by doing this. Have bought new accel wires. Also have an older accel high performance coil.

Looks like you need some kind of three pronged plug/harness for this. What happens if this is not hooked up.

Will be getting my 68 fastback back from body shop next month. 340 rebuilt sitting in shop redy to be installed. What is the easiest way to do this. 727 tranny and hookers on motor. It just doesnt look like it will work. Any suggestions. New to this. Thanks

Have automatic tranny bolted to my 340 and a new set of hookers to go. What is the easiest way of installing this setup. When i look at the engine bay it looks like this will not fit. I dont think the headers will go in after the engine and it looks to tight to put in with headers on...
