I agree guess I will modify the K frame where the idler arm mounts

I have a 66 Formula S with fast ratio box. The idler arm has been replaced and sits higher then the original pitman arm. Are the Arms Different depending on the ratio? If so, Does anyone know where I can purchase an idler arm? I found out when trying to install a set of TTI headers.

Could be the lever broke or backed off from the servo to rear band in which case transmission would not have to come out. I have replaced them between time runs at the track in a stacker trailer.

You are correct. I am looking for date casting numbers. My formula S was built Oct 4 1965, that car was built November 24 1965. Heads and intake could have been casted between the two build dates

Block date casting number is on the passenger side of the block behind the motor mount bosses. The head date casting numbers are under the valve cover on top of #3 & #6 intake runners. Thank you for looking.

Carb is off a 1966 440 engine, no good to me. Can you check the casting dates on the block and heads?

At the base of the carb under where the little hose connects, there’s a number stamped in the base plate. I can see part of it in one of your pictures but can’t make it out. Also the SO number, can you tell if the first digit is a B or 8
