No need to move it over with a Gen3

6.4 block is beefier than the 5.7. The 5.7 has a cast crank; the 6.4 crank is forged. 6.4 is a much better platform to start with. Add some "drop in" forged rods / pistons and you have a real nice short block.

I needed a rear sump pan for my AlterKtion equipped Cuda or I would have been all over this pan. That is a REAL NICE setup and a very good value. (IMO)

Yes, the early 5.7 weakness through '08 was valve seats dropping. I had one do that at 75,000 miles. When I was getting ready to change the fleet over, FCA PROMISED me they have fixed that problem for the Eagle 5.7s, '09 up. Never had that problem with the Eagles, just the cam/lifter.
