I was able to tighten the set screw and now that part is secure. I still have an issue of having to push the shifter to the left and then down towards me to get it into gear. The center console is pretty loose so my next task is tightening that up and hopefully I can shift without doing that trick

Appreciate the diagram in helping clarify the parts. The knob is loose. The set screw appears to be broken. Now would that prevent the car from shifting altogether? This is a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda

The top of the shifter. Where the button is that whole piece is very loose. I did manage to tighett it, but still it won't shift.

I recently took a trip with my car 260+ miles across the state. I noticed a few things different after this trip. Now the transmission will not shift out of park. The top part is very loose but I don't see that as the problem. Has anyone else had a similar issue? It's a 904

Will a 1967 trunk lid fit a 1968? I already have 67 tail lights because I wanted the Digi tail lights. This isn't a finished car so I would have to find trim for a 1967 if it is compatible.

Does anyone else have a problem where there seats appear to lean inwards? My seats look like they lean into the center console. I recently bought spacers for them and the issue is still there. Any tips or suggestions? I will try to upload pics soon.

thank you everyone! This year has been a lot of fun with the car, although I haven't gotten much done with it. I am trying to decide where to begin, whether to work on the interior or reprimer the exterior along with some body work.

The new front fenders on the car were redone. No huge dent in the driver's side.

Next I have to finish assembling the interior. I have had the original radio rebuilt on the inside so it has Bluetooth capability while maintaining the original appearance. I have to install that still, just waiting for it to get warmer outside!

After a long year of not updating on this site I am proud to say that my 1968 Barracuda is up and running better than ever. It has a brand new 360 motor in it, along with plenty of other new things.

Solely out of curiosity would it be possible to place tail lights from a 69 Barracuda into a 68? Would there have to be major adjustments done aside from relocating the reverse light.
