    I was running an LA 408 Stroker with 93+ magnum heads and making 443hp & 516 ftlbs on the dyno. Magnum heads flow better than LA in stock form and make good torque. You could probably do a little home porting on them and make even more power.

    Yea I ran into the same issue with one of my intakes. From 1951 to 1978 dodge used a 2.4ish inch thermostat and in 1979 they switched to the smaller 2.1" style.
