    So long, Tony Stewart

Regardless of intent, Tony is his own worst enemy. I highly doubt he intentionally struck Ward. However, his history really brings up the possibility he intentionally tried to kick out that rear and scare the kid. Honestly, I believe it to be a horrific accident with no fault. I don't think it...

    Livin' the dream

I was a conductor for BNSF railway for 8.5yrs. Union job, great retirement, good benefits. Downfall is Reagan took all the bite out of our unions. everytime we said it couldn't get any worse, it did. Our away from home time nearly doubled, our rest at home time got shorter. Brass made days off...

Opinions on what this car is worth

Thank you for the compliment, dartnut. I consider myself a tight *** too, but I have come to the conclusion that everybody else I know seems to stumble into incredible deals and pay way less that value. I usually end up getting bit in the *** when I try to save a few bucks. Lol.

    'Match Race' ~ 1968 'Road Runner 383' vs. 1971 'Cuda 383'

I pick the RR just because it's my dream car.

1967 Barracuda - Slant Six (orig) or 440 Big Block? Daily Driver, Need MPG

Numbers matching slants will be rare if more people do what you do... :/ TBH, I wouldn't mind finding a slant six powered A for a driver. Unfortunately old mopars out here are not common and made worse by being smack dab in the center of some of the least populated part of the lower 48.

Opinions on what this car is worth

I don't know where some of you live but apparently prices swing greatly or some of you are the cheapest ****'s ever! Lol. Some of you are still paying 1990's prices. Where I am from a parts car is 1500-2000. I'd say around here that car would worth 4-5000, IF it is actually rust free and...

    can't pinpoint the leak...

Well yeah. Trying to figure out what the fluid on the torsion bar was I gave it a taste. Sometimes when a look or sniff isn't enough, a quick lick will solve the mystery. Lol. No, I didn't lick the torsion bar.

1967 Barracuda - Slant Six (orig) or 440 Big Block? Daily Driver, Need MPG

My 68 barracuda has a 440 and 727 from a 78 New Yorker. In the new yorker I could coax 11 - 13 mpg after deleting Lean Burn. I have not calculated the since the mild performance rebuild and putting it in my baracuda but I am pretty sure I can watch the gas gauge dropping...

    can't pinpoint the leak...

I've been keeping an eye on the trans level. It's good. When I bought the car the motor was out and the original SBM pump was wired to where the battery tray was supposed to be. I thought from casual observation it was coming from the trans because I did have a leak there to begin with. I popped...

do hemi heads fit other blocks?

Short answer is no. Factory 426 Hemi heads will not fit on a b/RB block. Even the stageV conversion heads require mods to the block.

    can't pinpoint the leak...

I check the pump, it is a newer style from 440 source and has a dip stick. It was way low. I'm guessing I haven't noticed the leak until now.

    can't pinpoint the leak...

As an update... I jacked it up today. Once in the air I rolled around under the car and looked for obvious leaks as I was wiping everything down. Looked like a little leak near the speedometer cable and a bigger leak from the power steering box. Lit her up and let it warm up in neutral. Looked...

    SuperStock spring tips.

I'm still confused by the part that states torsion bars have a front and back. I thought only the huge aftermarket ones were clocked, MP factory replacements were not and front or back did not matte.

    can't pinpoint the leak...

I have a frustrating 727 transmission leak. Under a load fluid as squirting out from somewhere hitting the exhaust and creating white smoke from under the car. I can see where the driver side torsion bar is wet. I just can find from where. I have right stuffed the pan and fill tube. I can't...

anyone ever paint a 67-69 barracuda bumper?

If you want to know if you like the look before jumping head first I to paint you can try plastidip. If you don't like your bombers black just peel it off.

    Bs and Tire Size

I did a lot of measuring, calculating, more measuring and still ended up rolling the front of my front fenders for clearance and wish I had gone a touch wider on the rear. Lol. The item RRR suggests could be cheap insurance against buying the wrong size.

No plans at all of buying one. I'm perfectly happy with my 68. It may not have 707hp, but it is exactly what I wanted.

    la vs magnum

I wouldn't trust a stock 360 crank at much over 500hp. So right off the bat you are dropping a lot of coin on an LA or Magnum on the rotating assembly. Add in heads, adjustable rockers and shafts and already pushing 4000. That 6.1 hemi probably flows pretty Damn well stock. Is the rotating...
