It's been so long ago that I don't remember the numbers. We just calculated the length we needed to put the wheel dead center in the wheel well. You need to look at the back spacing of the wheel you're using. It can vary quite a bit. You also have to consider the width of the flanges and the...
I just installed a Meziere water pump on my small block stroker. Now I need to fabricate a new alternator bracket. Has anyone here done this already? Do you have a pattern? Photos? It seems pretty straight forward to fabricate but I wondered what others might have done already. No use...
I run mid to low 11s on a 275 M/T drag radial. Hooks pretty well at 16 psi. They are a 28" tire with a 9.5 tread width and a 11" section width. We narrowed an 8 3/4" to center the wheel perfectly in the stock wheel well and moved the springs in. Also running Cal Tracs with mono leafs. Tight but...
Jack up the rear end and spin one tire. If the other side spins the same direction it's a sure grip. If it turns the opposite direction it's an open rear end. I agree with 65cudalover, the 7.25 is not the strongest rear end for aggressive launching. If you do much more of that you will need to...
Thanks! 410 Stroker, built 904 w/ reverse valve body and a Winters shifter, Edelbrock RPM Performer Power Package (heads, intake, cam), 750 cfm Edelbrock carb, TTi headers, Caltrac suspension, 4.10s in a narrowed 8.75. Runs 11.40s at 118mph.
Here's one of mine with SS springs back in 1999. You can adjust the stance somewhat by raising the front with the torsion bars. Tire choice will also make a difference.
A heart felt thank you to all who have served the cause of freedom throughout the world, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Very nice! First saw your car a few years ago at the Hotchkis autocross at Mopars at the Strip. It was love at first sight! It deserves all the recognition.
There are usually several points in any build where you hit a wall where you get discouraged and wonder if it's worth it. Sometimes you wonder if you should just sell it and buy a turnkey car. I've done enough project cars to know that you just have to push through those times and remember all...
It's already happened. Look at the profile of the Camaros, Mustangs, Avengers, Camrys and now the Darts. If it wasn't for the decals we wouldn't know who to root for.
I enjoy all the pro fuel and door slammer classes but I like to go watch during qualifying when the real stock classes run at...
The electric fuel pump can change things especially if you have changed from 5/16" to 3/8" or larger fuel lines. The new 3/8" sender unit on mine has an additional vent line to which I built and attached my own vent system using coiled aluminum hose and an inline fuel filter. The coils keep the...
My friend and I bought one at the same time in '98. Mine got wrecked but ran great! Turned a '65 Barracuda 4 speed into a high 12 second street car. My friend is still racing his in a 70 dart.
I own some B bodies but have always had a thing for A bodies. I'm on my third big window Barracuda and have owned two Darts. My son and I were at a cruise night in my '69 Dart 340 Swinger where they had a burn out box. We didn't want to thrash our car but decided to do one big smokey for kicks...

This is what I did on my Barracuda. Got a pretty close match to the existing paint and did the engine bay. That'll save a lot of work and hassle later. Did all the cutting and welding on the rest of the car, touched up a few spots, finished off the interior and hit the track. It's a good...
It's probably not the cable at all but the speedometer has dried out. My dad has a spring loaded tool that screws onto the back of the speedometer that he has used for decades when he had his own garage. You fill the reservoir with 3-in-one oil, release the spring loaded plunger and it pushes...
