How did the visit to the trans shop go? I’m way too invested in this thread to be left hanging on Tuesday lol

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

It’s a shame your FIL didn’t talk about it much, looks like it was a really well built car in its time! I definitely think it should be more of a preservation than restoration. That’s a once in a lifetime type of find.

    [Found!] LD340 intake

Yes, depending on price. I’ve been considering having my Thermoquad rebuilt and running the stock intake. Pm sent

Clearance with aftermarket intake and 70/71 air cleaner

Between this post and feedback on Facebook, I’m fairly confident I can run about any intake with it. Multiple guys have ran the Weiand Stealth and Summit shows it being slightly taller than a Performer RPM Air Gap. The only intake I could find taller than the Stealth is a Torker II. Thanks for...

Clearance with aftermarket intake and 70/71 air cleaner

Whoah. What carb? Everything I’ve been told or read has led me to believe an Air Gap or anything similar won’t fit.

Clearance with aftermarket intake and 70/71 air cleaner

An LD340 is my top choice but I haven’t been able to find one yet. I didn’t figure a Performer RPM would fit, so that’s good to know! Which Weiand is that?

Clearance with aftermarket intake and 70/71 air cleaner

The base is a majority of the 70/71 air cleaner I’m wanting to use.

Clearance with aftermarket intake and 70/71 air cleaner

I’m looking at intakes for my 340 Demon and I want to run my factory air cleaner to stay as factory appearing as possible. What intakes have you guys been able to use? I assume anything high rise like an Air Gap is out, but is mid rise still an option? Engine is currently out and unfortunately...

    Torque converter identification

Can anybody help lead me in the right direction to find out what converter this is? Has 764 written in marker and looks like 28281 stamped. Thought it may be aftermarket since it’s painted blue.

mopar Nats 2022, 8/12-14/22 columbus oh

The swap meet was great if you had a B or E body. A body stuff was few and far between, and seemed like it was either brand new repops or pulled out of the Ohio river on the way to Columbus. I think Roadkill Nights in Detroit has pulled almost all of the corporate backing and big names away...

Any Jeep Owners Here? Post 'em Up!

I’ve had a bunch over the years. Bought this ‘99 Sahara about 4-5 years ago. Trying to keep it a simple, traditional look with some CJ inspiration. It’s impractical at everything, but the simplicity is what makes it fun. My kids will never let me sell it. It’s pretty much the perfect combo for...

old guy needs fun modern-ish driver

You never really mentioned a budget, but my mindset is in the low teens. ‘03-04 Mustang Mach 1 - Really good blend in styling between nostalgia and what was modern at the time. They’re limited production and sought after so the value isn’t going to go down. They get a lot of the Cobra bits...

    Dash Fire Duster Rebuild

This car was local to me and I wondered what had happened to it, great to see it show up here with some progress! I knew it with the owner before the guy you bought it from, prior to the dash fire. It had a 318 and 7 1/4 rear in it at the time.

    1969 'cuda 383 4-speed

Bummer to hear that you’re having to correct him on the restoration and he’s hoping that you’ll fix the mistakes yourself, along with little to no progress. I guess if it’s not a B or E Body it’s not a priority at his shop.

    Graveyard Cars - 71 Demon

This season has been pretty bad. I think the problem is that Mark finds himself funnier than the general audience does, and he’s trying to turn it into a copy of The Office instead of a “reality” show about a Mopar restoration shop. He’s trying to shift the focus of the show towards the...

Yes. Sorry Denny, didn’t mean to take anything away from you guys. I just referred to it as the FABO tent since it seems to mostly be FABO member vehicles in it, paid for and organized by HDK. Thank you for doing that, it’s always the first place I go to and typically return to multiple times...
