Thanks for the response, it has a butchered up LD340 on it now with pretty much the complete divider missing out of it, right down to the plenum floor and even removed under the roof towards the front, although it seems to run half OK I don't see the total fuel distribution being great.

The best price I can see her in OZ was from Amazon believe it or not, but they have no stock either, [not a cheap option to ship from US] I've ordered from them...

I'm down under, the LD has other problems as well it looks to have been pretty badly corroded in the water ports and was welded then machined, by a blind person by the look of it, it is now 'low' at 5/7 ports , trying to fix it is $$$prohibitive, for me anyhow, I'm over it. Thanks for you...

The problem is the plenum has probably been butchered past the point of fixing it, it's a real mess. The heads are already flowing in the mid 280,s. My thoughts were to try an Air Gap to get away from the butchered LD and take advantage of the slight gains the AG is said to have.

Thanks for the reply, my LD has the TQ mods plus when I got hold of it the WHOLE divider had been removed along with just about everything else in the plenum, it's not a pretty sight, I'm thinking the mods haven't helped it. Its in a 68 Dart has around 10.8 or 9 comp Eddies at mid 280's hyd /...

Usually stamped numbers on the very rear of the cam or very occasionally on the very front where the timing gear goes, not really important now the main question has been answered.

So, now that it's all apart what's written on the back of the cam, any ID info ?

I don't think any of them actually came with a part number, you will probably have to measure a few lobes for lift, some came with some paint codes on them but I can't recall exactly what they were.

I seem to remember that these trucks came with a CFD crank as opposed to the garden variety AAWJ ones that most 360's came with, interesting thread, let us know what else you find.

I dismantled a small block once that had 273 adjustables on it, the shafts were just hydraulic ones by the look of them. The rockers and shafts looked OK but the pushrod cups were smoked, so yeah I'd break out the Dremel !

Hi, does anyone know what the height difference is between the Victor and the LD340?

The TQ is not going to bolt onto an airgap.

Every 340 pump I have ever dealt with appeared identical to every other stock SB pump, they may have raised the pressure a little though.

It needs to be remembered that the 340 came with moly rings from the factory, and the 340's never seemed to have the bore wear that the 360's did.

Sealed power single moly or Speed pro single moly plasma, either is a good choice. Be aware a different bore finish is required for moly rings than required for cast rings.

This is a pretty interesting subject, does anyone have any knowledge on how much, if any oil gets to flow out of and past the front cam bearing, especially the ones that are fully grooved. It seems to me any oil flowing past the bearing will well up behind the plate and run down the front of it...

I run a home fabbed arrangement similar to your pix, air is picked up through 2 holes at the radiator support panel, it's good for 2 tenths and around 2 MPH. 360 / 4 barrel mild hydraulic roller, Eddies. Mid 11,s '68 dart.
