I'm going to bolt on my chinese airgap to my chinese aluminum heads on my 360 and I wondered if there was a concensus as to a good torque value? Thanks in advance.

    Clutch kit recommendation needed

Yeah, but is it worth the aggravation of sourcing a scarce, smaller clutch? And, you'd have to resurface the flywheel anyways. I don't know, but in my own situation, I just said "FI" and went with the 10.5"- and never had a bit more trouble. Cheers!

    Clutch kit recommendation needed

Once upon a time I had a '67 Valiant with a '68 340 on a '67 factory 4 speed. One night taking my girlfriend home about 2am, I realized how late it was and while travelling along at 60 in 4th, I stepped on the gas, heard and felt a "bang" and later discovered she'd spun the hub out of the oem...

Thanks but no thanks. I'm not running one of my TQ's currently and it was a thought that I might try to resurrect one, but it's more than I want to spend just on spec. Thank you for your trouble.

[FOR SALE] 3.23 cone suregrip 489 case

OK. What is the white stuff on it? Are you flexible price-wise? What is the condition of the gears rust, wear, pit-wise and pattern? I hope you're not bothered by my questions, but I don't want to buy any misery; I've got enough for now. Where abouts in SW Michigan are you? I live in Ontario, Canada

    Rebuild questions on a 74 8.75SG diff

My Challenger- I know, I know- developed a "crunch" at the end of the season and I'm going to see why. It's a cone style SG and I'm leaning towards a clutch type or A/M unit. I'm shopping for the best bang for my buck for rebuild parts, gears (I'm going to build a second carrier that I can just...

8.75 repairs, parts, rebuild, SG and such

I didn't realize there was a Canadian component to the site! My 74 Challenger- I know it's not an A body- developed a "crunch" type noise at the end of the season and I'm going to pull the carrier and have a look. It's a cone type. I'm also thinking of building a spare carrier to make the re/re...

What is the "perfect" street/strip package......for the average Moparian

I love that '68 Valiant! I had a '67 2 dr post that was originally a 273 Power Pack car with a 4 speed and a 3:91SG and stuck a '68 340 out of an early '68 Dart GTS in it and the only street car that ever beat it (by a fender) was a '67 Fairlaine 427 2 fours car. I'd love to see your car run...

Any idea what the shipping would be to Toronto area in Ontario? That's a fair price.

[WANTED] Standard, SBM internally balanced 6 bolt 130 tooth flywheel

Anybody in driving range of Toronto got a standard 130 tooth flywheel for a 10.5" clutch they'd part with? Something not heat checked nor ground to death preferably. I can get it re-surfaced.

leaky heads gaskets, I'm losing it!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but you initially said you were putting magnum heads on your LA block- and they have wet holes (no smart *** comments LOL) so I'd apply some thread sealant to the head bolts this time around and see if that doesn't solve the mystery? What have you got to lose? SFA!

Coolant passages in heads and intake

I've got a Chinese air-gap intake intake for my 360 stroker build and I just now noticed that while there's openings in it for the front coolant passages, there is only a pipe plugged hole for the driver's rear and nada for the passenger rear. Is or will this be an issue and does anybody have...

"Magnum block will have hydraulic a roller cam" and three bolt holes in the centre of the lifter valley for the spider to retain said roller lifters.. It may have a spot for the crank sensor cast into the rt rear upr edge of the block as well. Check the casting # of the head against possible...

    Some 340 Love

Yeah, you're right. I had a late '67 built 340 out of an automatic '68 Dart GTS that had a dual point in it, too. Still got it, too. :)

    Cyl head/valve cover/intake clearances

I'm using A/M aluminum heads and a air-gap type intake and Mopar Performance cast valve covers with the thick (.200") cover gaskets, and I seem to have some interference between the intake runner ends and the valve covers. When seated with regular Fel Pro intake gaskets the intake runners are a...

[WANTED] Flywheel for an internally balanced small block

Anybody in Canada with a flywheel (not flex plate) for an internally balanced 360 with the 4" stroke crank? Failing that, suggestions for best bang for the buck here in the Great White North? Thks in advance!

PCV setup with Mopar Performance valve covers

Looking all over, I finally found one at a Mustang parts guy in Connecticut and he's sending them (yes, I bought two) to my mailbox in N.Falls, now I've just got to see how many hoops I have to jump through to get them home to Canada! All this for a GD pcv valve!

help with finding a camshaft magnum 360

Try Lunati; their Voodoo series has received lots of praise and I bought a 112' long snout (to run a mechanical fuel pump) hydraulic roller for my 360 stroker build. I'm not done the engine yet, so I can't give you any empirical evidence. Good luck!
