Above link shows correct parts breakdown assembly. You can also discuss with Paul Forte at Turbo Action. Very easy to talk to
The aluminum support is bored to 1.6245”. Bearing raceway is 1.312”. Output shaft journal needs to be machined to 1.312”. Bearing is INA SCE 2110. If you want the low/rev drum rollerized, need Koyo bearing B-2110 and machine a reducer bushing to fit the bore of the drum. Also machine off drum...
[SOLD] - Mopar 340 race headers, New NOS Tubular Automotive, A body
A previous post with pictures. Looks like Milodon 7 qt street strip oil pan clears with plenty of room.
Tubular Automotive TDR8 1-7/8. All tubes exit chassis. No tubes go thru federwell
Probably don’t have them on the shelf.
They make sub flanges for J and W2 heads
Turbo Action SCS can be used with the correct gate plate. They even sell a clean neutral reverse pattern decal. Of course Precision Performance Products makes a shifter as well
Check out turboaction.com and look at the shifters and gates.
In 72-73 the kick down servo diameter increased. In 78 the sealing ring diameter changed on the input shaft. Can’t remember the year, but the roller bearing on the output shaft changed dimensions. The wide direct drum used a front pump with a beveled back. Just a few I remember off the top.
Removing the accumulator spring firms the forward clutch engagement from neutral to drive. When you remove the spring and use a blocker rod you also firm the kick down band servo engagement, 1-2 shift.
The spring cushions the servo movement in the downward direction which is in the hydraulic...
Here is a picture of a valve body windage tray. But I would think the logic for the low rear sump would increase fluid volume and prevent the sump filter from sucking air during a wheel stand. Turbo Action has a special angled filter adapter on their website but picture is not very clear.
904 is same length as an A-body A833 4 speed trans, so yes 904 with 8-3/4 is same as A833 & 8-3/4. The driveshaft in my duster with a 904 and 8-3/4 is 49.27" C-C length
727 and 8-3/4 should be 44.99" IIRC

Hey Mike, my best friend who passed away had a couple of 383 cranks. I have been helping his family sell his collection of parts. I'll see what he had and get back with you. I shipped a 440 crank back in 2016 and shipping was about $55 back then. What are you looking to spend on the crank if...
Typically, the rear servo piston shim dimensions are:
OD = 0.750"
ID = 0.504"
THK = 0.284"
Mentioned before, some use various thickness flat washers to fill the gap. Just make sure the washer that sits next to the plug has a large enough ID so it will not interfere with the radius cut. If...
Transbrakes that require the button to be depressed to engage reverse are referred to having the reverse safety feature. Meaning two actions must occur to engage reverse, 1) position shifter in reverse and, 2) press the button. Less likely to accidentally engage reverse while traveling at...
Call these guys, they may be able to hook you up. Looks like you have to send them your solenoid core to rebuild.

Duane - If you get in contact with Joe, let me know what he says. I have seen the internals of a safe neutral 727 brake and there is more complexity involved by adding the safety valve and transfer plate circuitry compared to a Griner 22G20 or 22G20B brake without the 2nd Neutral.
I have also...
The TCI press release does mention that they disengage the forward clutch allowing the engine to idle, but I don't see anything about retaining fluid pressure to the direct clutch.
Has it been decided? - Yellow Bullet Forums

Assuming the shift pattern is PN123N, and referring...
There are two different terms being used, "clean neutral" & "safety neutral". The Clean Neutral position after 3rd exhausts all bands and clutches. This position has the potential to cause an explosion. There are many companies that offer this option. If you use Aluminum drums you will not...
