Engine side Bulkhead Connector is stuck - any ideas?

I found a parts cleaner that is *supposedly* safe for plastic. wd-40 "penetrator". sprayed all the connections and let it sit a while. popped off after not too much struggle. Pain in the *** to clean out though, hit it with compressed air as best i could. I appreciate all the feedback!

Engine side Bulkhead Connector is stuck - any ideas?

I'm beginning to think all of the connections are corroded together from either side. it's possible... probably going to try other methods before hitting each connection with parts cleaner. maybe a hair dryer?

Engine side Bulkhead Connector is stuck - any ideas?

1983 Dodge Rampage 2.2 Removed the 10mm bolt on the engine side of the 40-way bulkhead connector. Usually these pop right out with no problems, no resistance. This one is stuck like hell. I've been at it for hours with a pry bar, screwdriver, wd-40, yanking & pulling and it's gave about...

Removing Entire Dash - 1983 Plymouth Scamp / Dodge Omni/Rampage

Hello, just looking for some advice or tips about removing the entire dash board from my car. Long story short, a small(ish) electrical fire happened inside the dash due to a shitty headlight/dimmer switch. A good deal of plastic/rubber/whatever melted all together and i've been chiseling it...

Diagnosing an Alternator or Voltage Regulator

Hello, I'm having issues with my 1983 Plymouth Scamp GT. Had the battery die, got a jump and it worked. Died again, jumped again, battery tested at 9% power, replaced battery. During the second round of dying, the lights stopped working, and tachometer was reading at least 1k rpm low. Since...

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT - Lacking in Performance

Awesome, going to do just that. Lonewolf: The light went on about 2 weeks ago, not sure if it would tell me anything now. But that may be because I don't know how to find out error codes, it's just one light that says "engine". I used to hit it with carb cleaner once a month or so last...

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT - Lacking in Performance

So hopefully the picture uploaded of what i'm working with. It looks like if i just crack open the plastic housing on the left and un-bundle the 4 oxygen sensor wires, rehouse the other wires and separately house the Ox wires we will be good. and they can just run alongside each other, though...

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT - Lacking in Performance

SSVDP: In case I can't find this service bulletin, am I correct in assuming that i would go about this the same way I would in, say, a tube amplifier? Separate the O2 sensor wires from the 8-bundle, and seal with heat shrink and maybe a small plastic tubing… And just the fact that they are...

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT - Lacking in Performance

abodybomber: yes, 2.2 - and, no, i haven't had the clutch adjustment looked at. Clutch is butter, the pedal is super easy to press and comes up pretty high 74Dusted: Maybe a year ago I replaced the hoses connected to the two ports of the fuel filer, I believe one or both had cracked, but I...

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT - Lacking in Performance

My baby has been maintained over the years and has most engine components replaced after they fail one by one. What is irking me are some performace issues that have been starting to come to light. For starters, Something seems wrong with my gear ratio. (The speedo is disconnected but...) I can...
