[FOR SALE] Parting out 1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe

Just an observation - are you asking for the radio knobs and heater knobs, or the heater knobs and the radio? Your question could be interpreted either way.

[SOLD] NON-FUNCTIONING AM Radio for 71 Demon

I am looking for a NON-FUNCTIONING AM radio for my Demon. I would like to gut the radio and replace the innards with modern electronics. Cosmetically, anything visible once installed should look presentable.

    Changing Wiper Pivot Seals

Hi, Good solution; I had a similar idea: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?p=1970558389&posted=1#post1970558389 Did you make the tapered guide on a lathe? What material did you use?

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

Okay, so no additional gasket sealer then? The Schumacher instructions say to use gasket cement on the base gasket "to hold in place", but that's on the underside - they don't mention anything on the top of the base gasket other than the strip caulk.

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

I like your solution, too. I never thought to put the seal on the table, I was trying to push it down over the shaft. Yours is another idea so good that it seems obvious - after the fact! Did you put any gasket sealer on top of the base gaskets?

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

I was going to give the hot water a try, but then I thought about using the tapered shaft and that did the trick. I imagine that the hot water would help, but I'd probably burn my hands in the process. ;) Plus, you'd probably have to work quickly before the seal cooled down.

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

I used dish soap as well...I don't think I could have done it without, even with the tapered shaft. Can't imagine how anybody installs the seals just by hand (with soap or not)

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

Glad to help! Yes, I did add the grease fittings. One thing that did concern me though was the possibility that drilling can cause metal chips can get into the assembly. I did my best to blow the chips away as I drilled. Hopefully it won't be a problem.

Solved! Easy way to install water seal on wiper pivot assembly

I bought a Schumacher wiper pivot seal kit for my 71 Demon, and struggled for quite a while to get the water seals on. Then I came up with a solution which worked so well, it now seems obvious. The instructions included in the Schumacher kit say not to use a mechanical spreading device, but I...

How To Fix Leaking Wiper Pivot Seals

When reinstalling the pivots, should I put gasket sealer on top of the base gaskets? Schumacher's instructions do not say to do so, but they do say to use gasket cement on the underside of the gasket.

anti-recline device causes fight on plane/2 kicked off

So...who owns the shared armrests then? Should passengers in the aisle or at the window each get 1.5 armrests, while the middle seat gets only two halves? Is it the luck of the draw? Where does it end?! ;)

anti-recline device causes fight on plane/2 kicked off

I don't disagree... I do wonder what would have happened if the guy simply and politely asked the woman not to recline all the way, instead of forcing the device on her. It might have turned out differently...or not.

Is there a flexible fitting which connects to the condenser drain on the factory air?

Thanks for the suggestion - but what is a "blower motor black vent tube"? (I am assuming that it has a 90 degree bend in it)

anti-recline device causes fight on plane/2 kicked off

I agree with you - reasonable people should compromise and not act like jackasses. Of course the person behind has no more right to be comfortable than the one in front - and no less. That's exactly my point. Your statement: "It's more inconsiderate/selfish to force someone else to be...

Thanks for the reply and photos - I'll have to get some of that foam, and extend the tube as well.

Is there a flexible fitting which connects to the condenser drain on the factory air?

My car is originally a non-A/C car, so I have had to modify the firewall to accommodate the A/C heater box (enlarge blower motor hole, add holes for mounting studs, plug one of the insulation nail holes). So far, the only hiccup has been getting the condensate drain tube to line up and...

Is there a flexible fitting which connects to the condenser drain on the factory air?

Thank you for the reply. So, does the copper drain tube simply feed through a grommet then? Also, I noticed that there is almost an inch of space between the back of the heater box and the firewall - and the copper tube on my heater box does not penetrate the firewall; I guess I'll have to...

Is there a flexible fitting which connects to the condenser drain on the factory air?

I am adding factory air to my Demon, and am not clear about the condensate drain setup. I noticed that the 3/8" copper tube does not penetrate the firewall, which leads to my question: what should a properly installed drain tube look like? Is there a rubber grommet, or an elbow of some sort...

anti-recline device causes fight on plane/2 kicked off

When a seat reclines, it affects two people - the one in the seat, and the one behind the person in the seat. Why should only one of them have control? The fact that a device like the Knee Defender even exists is because some people think that having a reclining seat gives them license to be...

Strangest thing found in your A body???

Not a Mopar, but my brother found some old service receipts behind the glove box of his Ford Explorer which had the vehicle's mileage recorded on them. Only problem was that the mileage on the receipts was about 100K higher than the what the odometer showed! He did get the dealer to refund his...

    Rear speakers AND Defogger?

I would like to install rear speakers in my Demon, and I'd also like to put in a rear window defogger. [WANTED] Second Horn for 71 Demon

When a car is built with a single horn, is it "High" or "Low"? My '71 Demon came from the factory with one horn. I would like to add a second horn, but I don't know whether I'd need the "High" or "Low" to compliment what I've got. (To be clear - when I say "compliment", I would want to add...
