Yes it is difficult to see. You almost have to be looking for it to notice it. I have the lower body stripe which makes it less noticeable. By the way, nice car.

Took a long time to finally get in the spray booth. Body shop moved to a new location. It was an old body shop that hadn’t been used in years. Took a while to get both booths up and running. Had to do some retro fitting to make it work. She’ll be getting painted in a few days. I’ve been gettin...

First pic is the used fender I put on the car that must have been wrecked at some point. Previous body shop didn’t fix it. The body man drilled out the spot welds, flattened it out and filled it in. Did a little touch up on the roof body work. Roof lines and quarters are finished up. The sixth...

Quarter panel is pretty much finished up. Door is lined up and fender is looking good. Front valance is finished. Trunk lid has been lined up and filled in beautifully. The body man filled in the gap and smoothed everything out. After the body work was done he took a dremel and cut the gap out...

They got the gap between hood and header panel lined up. Re-enforced the door handle area and re-did the drivers door. Had to take away excess body work on passenger quarter. Got the doors lined up and finished most of the body work on doors, quarters and fenders. Had a problem with the...

Yes, they did a superb job on getting the gaps lined up nicely. Although the hood still had a good size gap they tweaked the header panel and got it lined up really well.

So am I. It was basically a case of dumb luck which I don’t get very often. I’m sure glad I picked this body shop, there doing everything top notch.

Well, November 2022, decided to bite the bullet and take her to another body shop to get her lined up and painted. There are plenty of good body shops in town but it’s tough finding the right one. This one was recommended by a fellow Mopar guy so I took a chance. They found a few weak spots. One...

No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get rid of the oversized gap in the passenger fender. Decided to do a little measuring and found the passenger inner fender well was a quarter inch farther forward. Since there were no inner fenders on it the body shop had no idea how far forward they should...

None of the panels are lining up right. When I first got it back from the body shop the doors were lined up pretty good. Over time the drivers door started to get more out of whack. I put the fenders hood and header panel on so I figure a good body shop will be able to get this lined up good...

Spare tire is in place and she’s all together, finally. Took it to get inspected on May 29th 2015. The fella putting the inspection sticker on is the son of the guy I bought the car from. Took it to my first car show on August 30th. Still got a long way to go but I’m able to finally drive it.

I wanted to get it together and start driving it before painting it. Knew it would take awhile to get the money for a paint job and had to find a place that I could trust to do a great job.

Got the front grilles in and wound up cracking the passenger side where I had fixed it and had to repair it again. It’s starting to shape up.

Got the spindles, backing plates and control arms hooked up. Engine is hooked up and almost ready to go. Finished up front brakes and got the rear axle and leaf springs in with some help from my brother and nephew.

Got the K frame attached and motor mounts in place. Got the engine back after 5 months at the rebuilders. Had to get a picture of me hugging the engine. I was so happy to finally have it back. Made sure to put the plugs in before putting the engine down in the engine bay.

Ran an ad in MCG magazine looking for an A-body 440 block. Didn’t expect I would get a response. Three months later I got a call from a fella in Iowa. He bought a 1965 Dodge Coronet in 1978 with an A-body 440 engine in it and drag raced it for 10 years before developing a bad piston. He pulled...

Got the wheels painted. Before painting the wheels I recall reading an article that said when trying to decide how the factory did something, think of two things, cost and assembly line. I was thinking at the time that it would be cheaper and more cost effective to paint one side of the wheel as...
