Help Me Travel To Costa Rica This Summer

Hi everyone, my name is Kameron Alu, I'm 16 years old, and I attend Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California. Students at our school have been given the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica this Summer. I really wanted to go, but a few months ago my dog, Artie, got really sick and was...

    Air in cooling system

So today I was trying to access some bolts on the air intake. (It's a Monday, so I'm not thinking straight) I started removing what I thought was the heater tube (actually coolant tube from the intake to the water pump). I pulled it off and surprise! about 1/3 of a cup of coolant came out. I...

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

The wire prevented it from turning over. It is still mis-aligned, but I will have to fix it the next time it is on a lift. It will be much easier to access then, since the headers won't be in the way so much .

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

It turns out the problem was likely a dirty / faulty connection between the battery and solenoid. I cleaned the wire that was connected to the solenoid and battery and now it works fine. thank you

New valves/ valve springs with new cam?

https://m.summitracing.com/parts/sum-k50062 here's the link to the cam. It is made specifically for the car. Also, I looked under the suggested and required parts and did not find any spring sets. Any help ?

New valves/ valve springs with new cam?

Ok. Also, the cam I am looking at says a 2500+ stall converter is needed. I currently have a stock 1967 727 with a shift kit. Is a 2500 torque converter really necessary in this case?

New valves/ valve springs with new cam?

What are retainers and locks? ( I haven't heard of these before)

New valves/ valve springs with new cam?

Thank you! Should the new springs be "upgraded" springs or are replacement springs ok?

New valves/ valve springs with new cam?

I currently have an RV cam (not sure of the specs) in a 318 from 1967. I am thinking about upgrading the cam to a summit racing cam (285 duration, .480 lift) or maybe something bigger than that. Would I need new valves or valve springs ( I think the current ones are stock)? Also, would anything...

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

Ok. thank you. what does the linkage arm look like and where is it locate? also, I should add that the car started up perfectly before, but the last few days it doesn't el want to start up. last time, I had to move the shift lever around to get it to turn over, but now that won't even help. it...

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

Ok, thank you. I will try that. Are there any "risks" in changing the shift linkage when it's on the car ?

    Engine doesn't turn over easily

I took care of the seatbelt interlock already. I found out the buzzing noise was just a loose nut in the dashboard (whoops!). So I think it wouldn't turn over because of the funky shift linkage

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

no, its not adjusted properly. So do I just have to play around with it a little until I find what works?

    "Custom" Shift Linkage

Hi! I have a 74 dart sport that has a 318 and an automatic 727 from 1967. It originally had a slant-six and an automatic 904. As of now, the way the shift linkage is set up makes it so the needle on the gear indicator doesn't match up with the letters and it can't shift into first manually. I...

    Engine doesn't turn over easily

Ok, thanks so much! The shift linkage on the car is Jimmy rigged because the transmission is a 727 from 1967 and the car is 1974 and came with a 904 originally. That may be the problem (The needle and letters don't match up and it cant even be put into first manually.

    Engine doesn't turn over easily

What switch would it be? And what are all components in the starting circuit? What is the solenoid? and are there any tests I can do to determine what it is?

    Engine doesn't turn over easily

So today I went to start up the Dart. The first time I turned it over, it was fine. I let it run for a few mins and then I turned it off. When I went to turn it on again (only a few mins after I turned it off), the starter wouldn't engage. I moved the shift handle a little, and then tried to...

    Trouble installing new shocks.

Good news. I got all the shocks on yesterday. It was tedious work, but it was well worth it.

    Trouble installing new shocks.

It was still a small, so I just did the socket the size up from last time. I'm going to check the other sockets on the other shock now. If I don't post anything about it, that means it was still too small and I moved up a size again

    Trouble installing new shocks.

Haha, yes! And, yes, I left the socket in.

    Trouble installing new shocks.

I actually just put an extended socket into the hole where the rubber is. I put one in that was a little toops big and then I used a mallet to push it through. Then, I boiled that end of the shock absorber and now I'm letting it cool. Ill post how it goes

    Trouble installing new shocks.

I've tried all of thone things, except "walking" on it, since I'm under the car when installing the shocks. The studs that the shocks attach to are a little too big, so I'm going to file down the rubber a little bit and see if that works

    Trouble installing new shocks.

So I just got 4 new Bilstein shocks and the front ones went on just fine. However, I am having trouble with the rubber on the rear 2. The rubber is making it hard to put the shocks onto the bolts attached to the car. They seem too tight to get on. I have tried grease and freezing the rubber, but...

    Will the rear axle fit?

    Alright. Sounds good.

    Will the rear axle fit?

Plans are : do a burn out once a year maybe (yes I know burnouts look lame with a posi) And 350 is a good price. How much do you think labor would cost if we put it in at the same time we changed the gears? ( might as well put it in with the gears, since the axle housing will already be open)...
