    8.25 axle source

Hey guys I have a 8.25 in my Duster and the axle bearing surfaces are a little scored. I used some repair bearings but it think it is time for some new axles. Where would be the best place to look for some new ones. Most of the big companies only have dakota or durango shafts. Can these...

Man sometimes I really have to wonder.....Went into my local Chrysler dealership and asked the guy behind the parts counter (who's been there forever) for a water pump gasket for a 360 LA engine.....The guy looks a me like I have two heads and asks what's an LA...I know it's been since 1992 but...

Best starting point for V8 swap

Well after a lot of work and searching for various odds and ends I was able to get the 360 into the Duster. Had a little trouble lining up the drivers side bolt hole drilled for the conversion mounts but after some swearing at it and another lift and drop with the cherry picker it decided to go...

    Should I get a 360 motor/tranny

According to the parts manuals all /6 cars with air got larger diameter torsion bars...the same size bars as 318 cars. This was done to compensate for the extra weight of the compressor etc. My 73 /6 with factory a/c had 318 bars in it. Those came out and solo road racing bars went in...a...

    Rear seat interchange?

Been there tried that didn't work. But what did work was taking the really nice seat covers off the 4DR frames and putting them on my 2Dr seat frames. Took them to an upholstery shop and they added a bit of material on each side of the seat bottom. Looks great....There is a picture of the...

    a/c. /6 to V8

I am doing the same swap. The suction and discharge hoses are different but I might be able to make them work. Also the inlet on the back of the compressor is at a different angle. I sourced one off a V8 car but I didn't try it so you might be able to make it work. It's been too hot to get...

    Back side Alt Bracket

Found a Alt pulley thanks J Still looking for that elusive bracket. Even if someone has one they don't want to part with they could trace and give measurements looks easy enough to build. Thanks Brent

    Column Shift Linkage

Well I talked to a few people one said it would work with the original shifter linkage and some said it wouldn't. I guess there are too many different combo's out there some work some don't. I just got a SB 904 and will rebuild that. According to the numbers in my parts book the SB 904...

    Column Shift Linkage

Hi Guys I am swapping out my /6 for a 360. The engine I obtained had a 727 with it. I know if I keep the 727 I will have to shorten my drive shaft when switching from my current 904, but I have also read that the some of the column shift linkage parts will not fit right. Namely the cross...

    power steering pump bracket

I picked up a good federal pump with a bracket and integrated cooler today, but I still need the two triangular brackets that attach the pump to the block. It's a small block set up. The smaller of the two brackets has 2 45 deg bends and goes at the back of the pump. Even if someone has the...

    Pipe Size?

I am swapping my 225 for a 360. The slant had a dual exhaust system with 2 inch pipe all the way back except for the mufflers which are 2.25 in and out. For the 360 I have 340 exhaust manifolds with 2.5 inch head pipes. My question is, if I keep the 2 inch pipe after the mufflers will it...
