    Chrysler Historical new contact info.

Just to clarify. "Older" as in pre <1968? If I was looking for records for an original purchase of a 1968 superbee. I'd be out of luck? Thanks

    Won’t start No Spark.

Short answer is YES. Low voltage or even incorrect voltage will play havoc with electronic systems. Dad's lesson also always rings in my ears. Check the ground. More problems are created by bad/faulty grounds.

want to save a 1964 barracuda near tahoe/reno. need to get it home

I also agree - road trip - but with a caveat. Since your pick up time seems set out a ways and shipping parts across the country any more is damn expensive. If you know what parts you might need, and the budget allows. I'd consider making deals with people that broach your road trip, pickup an...

Was watching an olde rerun of Bewitched tonight (season 1 eps 16). Can you even imagine suggesting a "Kissing Booth?" What are some of your olde go to reruns? Ironsides? Matlock?

EFI guys, any options for theft protection?

First, a short answer to your question. Yes, I'm sure it can be done. Big issue is (apparently) how sensitive the electronics within the system are. They don't like to be meddled with. At least on the ignition side of things. The fuel side is the easier side. Now when I first started this...

Anyone familiar with water meters ? UPDATE

Does it have a meter face that you can actually read? Shut everything off and then fill a 55 gallon drum or some other known valued item. Bath tub maybe, small pool, hot tub. something large enough to get a good spread. See if it matches your meter.

    'Time to Show Em' Tuesday

Wait..... What? You guys put the steering wheel on the wrong side and the brake stuff over there as well. But you leave the throttle hook up over on the right side, along with leaving the power steering pump and alternator where it belongs? Interesting. Talk about messing with my head.

Any post war Television Repairmen here?

My grandfathers service record listed him as some sort of Navy motion picture something or other. He was a repairman after the war. I've looked at the stacks of manuals (and other stuff) many times and thought about just throwing it all away. But I always think. What a waste. If you have a make...

How do you get it up?

Which is exactly why I asked. I had my dad (82yr) running my 10.6sec car last year and we had a blast. Don't think he won a single race. Unless the other guy red lite or something. But not the point. It pulls the front tires. The smiles were and are worth everything. As the line in Meet Joe...

    Putting a PowerGlide behind a S/B mopar

I run JW in the wife's car just for safety sake. It fulfills scatter shield requirements even though she only runs 13's. But I run headrests, driveshaft loop, helmet, and shoulder harness belts for her and I'm not required any of it. But I do all my own work also. Fully size bridgeport and a...

How come when I’m the first/only one to purchase something I’m told I got a deal going????

Try the other side of the coin. How many guys are all fired interested to buy an item and then never follow thru? IF I show interest in something and communicate a question or two. I always try to let the person know "I'm out" so as to leave no question.

    Enclosed Trailer Vehicle Tie-downs

My enclosed just has self contained D rings (carriage bolt in each corner) with four bolts. The floor is cut out for a flush fit and a piece of 3/16" plate steel is under the floor supporting as a backing for the bolts. Never a problem.

    Wood beam

If space is an issue. You have lots of temporary and permanent options. Folding cherry pickers (rent, borrow or buy), I-beam trolleys, gantry's, lifts (unbolt k member and take out the bottom by lifting body), probably not best space option. You could move in to a bigger place.

    Wood beam

My father used something similar in the shop to pull motors for years. But it was laid across the rafters so the actual load was spread across 4 rafters and the main support was only 24" of spread. He never had a problem. I tore it out and never used it. You could see the rafters sag as you...

You can not just run an EFI pump on a carbureted setup. Around 7psi against a 60 psi system. Put all the spark makers away. You're going to have a mess to clean up. Oh and you don't eat a cam lobe. You can destroy and eccentric. Or do you have a small block chevy in it? I love my efi system...

    [WANTED] 42RH transmission

In case you missed the premise of the idea in post #6. Could it be cheaper to list the trans for sale on ebay. Win the bid and use ebay services as the shipping pre-agent to the UK. Personally, I'd just order the parts and rebuild my 727.
