    Good dog

I'm planning on finding out in the next few months. Leo is a lucky guy. I need to take my dog on more walks. I can't wait to take him for a ride in the Duster when it's finished

    Good dog

He gets more than his fair share of treats, that's for sure. He must have got distracted when it came time to do the brakes and wheel studs.. Labs are great! Gunner looks like a good guard dog. And that's a sweet looking Vette! I like dogs. Lets see more dogs with cars.

    Good dog

Yeah I'm hoping if I keep leaving him out there with it that he'll get it done. It's nice to have someone around that knows what they are doing.

    Good dog

I came out to the garage to work on my Duster this weekend and my dog had already assembled the new rear end for me. Good dog.

    I finally have it!

I'm going to listen to you guys and pick up a set of jack stands. My dad built the wooden stands and it seems very sturdy but isn't worth the risk.. I'm going to be on here a lot researching old build threads and trying to figure out what exactly I want for it. I'm sure a lot of you have...

    I finally have it!

Well I finally have the car. It is a 71 Duster with a 318 that was originally bought by my father's great aunt. She left it to my dad when she passed away about 20 years ago. My dad was going to sell it, so my girlfriend bought it for me on my birthday. My plans are to build a 408 for it and put...

Tips for turkey on a Traeger/smoker

I know Traegers are more of a NW thing but does anyone have some tips for smoking your bird? I've got my turkey soaking in a brine right now and I was planning on smoking it for about 3 hours then cooking it at 350 for another 3 or so hours. Any suggestions? More smoke? Less smoke? Secret...

    Sell 318 for this 340?

Probably too high of a compression ratio for a street car? That'd be my guess.

    Sell 318 for this 340?

What do you guys think of this deal? I'm considering selling my 318/tranny to offset the cost. From what I've read it sounds like the 340's are kind of hard to find without spending a bundle.. Seems like a good upgrade from a mostly stock teener. https://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/5272623587.html

    Build or buy 408?

The A518 transmission has OD so I should be good to go on that. The way the car sits now, it has the 318 from the factory which runs fine but long term that's not what I want. I have what I need to put disk brakes in the front and I'm about to buy some suspension parts then install the 8 3/4"...

    Build or buy 408?

Tools aren't an issue, but I can always use more knowledge. I think I'd really like to build my own, I'll just have to do more reading on ideas for the 408. I already have A518 transmission, and an 8 3/4" rear end with 391 gears.. From what I have read it sounds like those would work well with...

    Build or buy 408?

I've decided on going with a 408 for my 71 Duster but I still have some questions.. Would it be more cost effective to buy a 360 and build one? Or would it cost about the same so I should just save myself the headache and buy a 408 crate engine? I've been looking at some of the crate engines and...

You want to slap shift your A-Body????

How long have you owned your A-Body??

I've owned my 71 Duster for a total of 5 days! My dad's great aunt bought it new and he inherited it from her back in 1995. I don't have any pictures right now but I'll get some on here eventually. Ryan.

    New from Washington

I'm going to get some pictures up as soon as I can. It's still up in the air at my dads house. I need to pick up some shocks, leafs, torsion bars and some other things before I start putting it together with all the parts he has sitting there.

    New from Washington

Good morning everyone! I'm really happy to be on here and to finally own an A-Body Mopar. When I was 6 my dad inherited a '71 Plymouth Duster from his great aunt who had bought it new. I spent much of my childhood out in the garage with my dad working on it and hoping one day it would be...
