Trick flow 240 review along with flow number comparison to other aluminum heads

I had a Mercury XR7 many years ago that had a 351C 2v motor and even those ports were much bigger than the BBM wedge.

    440 Source Head Opinions?

440 Source has TF 240 heads in stock, they are more expensive but a much better head. I ordered 2 and they we delivered in 2 days.

    400 Non Stroker Build

That's the same build as the one I posted. Brian @ IMM Engines (The builder, IIRC he goes by OU812 here and on Moparts) was concerned about the stock rockers, the better heads definitely helped, if I were starting out now I'd wait for a set of the TF 240 heads and use the Mancini branded...

    Mopar machine shops in California?

This is an old thread, and a lot of the places have closed, so I'll through out IMM Engines, they are far from the Bay Area but do good work.

    400 Non Stroker Build

Chrysler B-series 400 - Hemi Power At Half The Cost - Car Craft Magazine I bought the short block, topped it off with some mildly massaged RPM heads and PRW 1.6 rockers, and an Offy tunnel ram, made 489 ft/lbs, 472 hp. Life's kept it off the street and I've got a rocker correction kit and am...

Thanks for posting that, it's not an a body, but it's a clean install and a well done vid.

dart bb with 13'' tires on the front?

When I read the post header I thought 13" wide and was curious about how you would fit something that fat up front . My '68 Barracuda had the stock 14" wheels on it and IIRC 185/70-14s on it when I bought it in 2000. Even with a 318, it didn't handle worth a damn.

    Rear Sway Bar Problem

Firmfeel Mopar Suspension and Steering Looks pretty close to what you need. The devil is in the details, so I'd take some measurements and call them up. They are Mopar guys, not mass marketers, so you'll be talking to someone that can help, or find out what you need to know.

    Mopar 400 block 8 sleeves

What were you getting out of that first cam? That's the one I'm looking at for my '68 Barracuda, I've got a stock stroke 400, about 10:1 cr.

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

I'm glad I found this thread, I had the similar build thread from the Protouring Mopar site bookmarked. Since it's been vaporized into the cloud a lot of cool Mopar stuff has gone away. Great car and build thread, Thanks!

    look what happened

I'm not seeing rust there, that looks like metal fatigue. With that shiny new nut and bolt, I'd suspect that the old fastener was loose/missing and allowed that area to flex on the upper bolt. I'm just guessing from here. Good Luck, make sure it gets welded and gusseted. You may want to invest...

    My 422 smallblock build

Well, it IS a discussion board.:drama: Since the whole planet is on lockdown people are getting cabin fever. :mob: Just take what you need and leave the rest.

    My 422 smallblock build

It would depend on the system. I've been eyeing a very similar cam for my car, with a 400(406") B engine, but ground on 112 CL, as I've got a dual quad EZ-EFI 1.0 system.

Big block low deck tunnel ram? Help.

The number for the lower on mine is P4532277-2, the upper is P4532067. Keep in mind these are casting numbers and may have changed during production. IIRC the upper section is the same between B and RB, the lower part is different, my B manifold measures 7-5/8" across the bottom. HTH, Steve

    Starting a BB Duster project

Andy's Duster isn't using the O.E. gauges, it a digital display that reads directly off of the ECM. Still double checking the temp is a good idea, i'd bet the t-stat is opening too early.

    Trick Flow 240...

That's very true, myself included. The unmodified M1 tunnel ram with 2 500 cfm Edlebrocks made nearly the same power.

Looking for advice, BB headers vs. HP manifolds

Thanks. I was hoping that someone had figured out how to get their 1-7/8" header to work in an A body.

Looking for advice, BB headers vs. HP manifolds

Are those the 1-7/8" headers that TTI sells for B+E bodies?

    Where is Schumacher?

Mancini's been out of stock for a while, too. I'll be very glad to see them back in business. Their parts are top notch and getting anything for our old cars is harder all the time.

    Where is Schumacher?

That's great news, IF TRUE. It's been a long time since anything has been available on that site. I sent a message about wanting the A body torque strap and got nothin', best guess over a year ago.

    best cam guy out there

Duane Porter, he's on Moparts as Fast68Plymouth. He's got a top notch rep as a head porter and cam guy. Brian @ IMM, IIRC he's OU812 here is another builder that I'd talk to, he built my current engine and I'm happy with it. HTH, Steve

O.k Andy, I thought the 750 was with the 270 heads. I should have verified it.

    Trick Flow 240...

The HR article is a mess, the cam specs are different than the TF specs. Andy F built a 470 that knocked out 700 HP with the TF240 heads, that is well documented on HR Mag.

    Install BBM w/headers

Come on man, they built 100 SBCs for every BBM, if not more. Either accept that the VERY old cars we love are not going to be easy to keep and maintain, or switch to generic motors and have race blocks and aftermarket heads flowing like milk and honey./s

    Install BBM w/headers

They stopped making them 41 years ago, there are probably a few hundred being driven regularly on the road. A few thousand on weekends, if that.

    FiTech Dual Quad

If your gauge is accurate- and I'd verify that first, then the regulator is bad or the pump is. The vacuum line will typically drop the line pressure by 10 psi. I would dead head the pump to verify it's putting out the rated pressure. You can measure the pressure directly out of the...
