I know this is an old thread, but do you have a link to the battery you mention here? In addition, where are you now with your battery? I'd be surprised if you have the same one.

The problem is that I have an AM only radio. With a knob for volume, tuning, and station select. Is there a similar way to add aux input?

Honestly I'd be okay with an AM/FM/Cassette player with built in dash speaker. Still have all my old cassettes!
