It looks like these are the press in guides am I correct? Can you just press the old ones out and press new ones in and ream them to length. Or what is the process to do it.

That's the plan. Eventually I will take it all apart and really go crazy on a build for now I just want to freshen the entire thing up and have a reliable and fun running big block duster. Right now I have everything to put it back together no funds to build a stroker

Its a roadster not a solid cab so I'd imagine it wouldn't get as hot as that we'll see how it goes if I don't like it I can always change it haha

So I got this truck I was told it had a 440 in and when I got it and started really digging I discovered it's a 400. I've heard you can do a lot with a 400 and make a 451 stroker and such, only if you have deep pockets haha. I at the moment don't have the funds for a complete machine and rebuild...

So upon further digging I realized this is a 400 block not a 440. I know that they are similar in hardware and such just the 400 is a bit narrower. So will most of this information based on the 440 swap be similar to a 400 swap.
