    Moser a body axles

Dragging up an old post. I finally got around to ordering the axles. Moser was able to drill both bolt patterns so when I upgrade my wheels, I can use the larger bolt pattern.

    Question For The Experts

I used your “emergency ignition” design for a year and a half on my race car. Worked perfectly.

    Moser a body axles

That’s exactly what I was thinking of doing. Can’t tell from the pic, are those 7/16 or 1/2 inch studs?

    Moser a body axles

Has anyone used the Moser a body axles for an 8 3/4? The part number is A30-CST-A4. Moser rep says the break drum register is 2.3”. Will these work with stock 10” drum breaks? Haven’t gotten a chance to pull a wheel/drum to get an exact measurement.

    727 fill tube/dip stick

I put a Hughes loking tube & dipstick in mine. Fit great, stopped a leak. The bend looks a lot different than stock, but it fit perfect. 440/727 in a 74 Dart mounted with elephant ears and fenderwell headers.

    Discs on an 8 3/4?

Wanting to upgrade my stock axles on my bracket race car. Going to lbp so, I will need new wheels and brakes also. Planning on using the Speedway weld on brackets for gm metric calipers. Looking at Weld Pro Star wheels.

Has any one ran a Alternator with a internal voltage regulator?

We used a Tuff Stuff internal reg. one wire on my son's Dart when we rewired it. No battery drain in two years, and it puts out 14.5 volts at idle. When we ordered it from Summit, they had the wrong part number listed. Got in touch with Tuff Stuff to get the actual one wire model.

    Discs on an 8 3/4?

Anyone know if this set up will fit an a body with springs in the stock location? Also will the rotors move the wheels out much? Wondering what back space wheels to use.

    Race car interior

I don't think this stuff would take vinyl die or paint very well. Most of it I've seen is some shade of gray or black.

    Race car interior

I got the material from amazon. It was $25 for 5 yards 48" wide. That was enough to do both door panels, the rear panels and the package tray/bulkhead. I'll try to get some more pics posted.

    Race car interior

The po made the bulkhead & package tray panels out of aluminum. I made a rough template out of posterboard & trimmed it after I glued it in.

    Race car interior

The fiber board of the stock panels was still pretty good. The vinyl had some tears & bubbles. I peeled that off & glued the carpet on. Had to put the door panel back on when I found out it was possible to toss my lap belt into the door & couldn't open the door.

    Biggest tires on my dart

I have 8.5x26" mt pro bracket radials on my race car. They fit fine & hook good. The biggest we could put under the front of my son's 70 Swinger is a 225/60-15

    26x8.00?

Checked the date code on the 235/60r15 M/T drag radials that were on my 74 Dart when I got it a few years ago. August 2005. So, thinking about going with Hoosier 26x8.00 slicks. I have stock steel wheels, springs in the stock location, the inner fenders have been trimmed. I have a good inch...

    wiring harness

I just finished putting a Ron Francis Bare Bones in my son's 70 Swinger. They are VERY generic and gm oriented. American Auto Wire is good for Chevy. Not sure about their Mopar stuff. I see Painless has a new harness that is Mopar color coded. AbodyJoe did a very good write up on putting an...

    67 barracuda EZ Wiring Questions

Some of the ones I used were left over from the AAW kit I put in my kid's C-10. The others I got from the local parts house. They were the Pico brand. They aren't exactly the same, but they snap into the connectors and seem to stay put.

    Bare Bonz review

It does have a relay for the lights. It is a little short on circuits. No back-up light circuit. I pulled power from the radio circuit. I think that is how the factory did it. They make a harness called Express. It installs the same way, but has more circuits.

    Bare Bonz review

Forget to mention I also installed a Tuff Stuff one wire, internal regulated alternator. It works great. 14.6 volts at idle. When I ordered it, Summit had the wrong part number listed. Got a hold of Tuff Stuff directly and got the right number. 8509RGDP is a black double pulley model. I...

Think I may have found vibration problem

I have found that out of balance tires cause a vibration around 50 mph and you can out run the vibration if you speed up. You might check that the rear u-joint is indexed into the yoke properly also. Had that problem in my race car.

    Bare Bonz review

Finished up installing a Ron Francis Wiring Bare Bonz harness in my son's 70 Swinger. This is not a bashing of their product, simply what I had to do to make it work for a Mopar. This doesn't have the wires pre-wired into the fuse box. You make the connection to the accessary, then run the...
