    Pulsating vibration above 60 ?

I had the same problem. Ended up being an endplay issue. I got everything up to temp with a drive then adjusted all the endplay completely out of the axle setup. I think .008” is spec. Fixed the problem. I see you are using the green bearing setup. What is your end play? If I recall no ability...

LD340 whats a fair price to pay for one these days?

If you don't have to do anything to it that's a very fair price. I just bought one at Carlisle for $200.00 and had to do some minor repair work - Repair bypass threads, weld up blown out hole on thermostat threads and add helicoils. Currently adding recessed pockets on the heat crossover for...

    Carbide Burr bits good source?

MSC DIRECT Atrax or SGS for carbide. Not the cheapest but good quality. Might want to try Cobalt or HSS for roughing in. Much less expensive takes more abuse.

    1' spacer under carb

If you use a 4 hole Make sure the secondary throttle plates don’t hit the spacer. Mine did. Machined it into an open one. Works great. Carb runs much cooler too.

pics to help with glass removal

This thread was very helpful for me. The screw and nut were missing on my wing vent causing the frame to rock. Here is a picture of the “nut” that secures the wing vent to the door. The screw is a 1/4 -20 socket head cap screw.

    Time for a new Carb

Thanks for everyone's replies! GREATLY APPRECIATED! Carburetors were never something I really got into.. so this is fun. I did this engine build almost 40 years ago when I was a teenager with limited funds and knowledge. I did have a mentor help me sort things out though. The torker 340 was...

My friend standing next to my Dart at HS graduation in 1982. Lost touch with him after high school. So 38 years go by and I see his name in the obituaries. I stop by the funeral home to pay respects and I see this photo on his tribute poster.
