Yes you can, but you must change the timing cover to fit the long snout cam, and if it’s a flat tappet the lifters and spider get nixed as well. Then you’ll need to measure for the correct length pushrods.

If it runs better when you restrict air flow, either with the choke or with your hand, then either the mains are plugged and fuel flow is restricted, or it’s jetted way too lean.

Drivers side of the block just above the freeze plugs. It will be stamped 318 or 360 just like an LA engine. The 10 bolt valve covers, vertical intake bolts, and beer barrel intake are all telltale magnum signs.

Nice engine build, the cam is a nice step up from stock and you’ll like it for the muscle car sound. And 385hp is no joke in an Abody. It’s definitely enough to get you in trouble.
