    340 vs 440

Better yet, Blueprint Engines has a 408 for about that price. 375hp and 460 lb/ft of torque.

    an engines redline

Yeah its pretty much the point in which the engine stops making power assuming everything is up to spec. My old pickup had a self imposed redline of 3500-3700, right where the valves started to float.

    Turbo 440 duster

With that turbo and say only 20 lbs with the right cam and heads, 1000 hp should be somewhat easy. Imports with 3.0L motors need 40+ psi and alcohol to make that much. David Freiburger (The F-Bomb Camaro) made that much with 14 psi on a 400 Chev. A 440 should be easy; but what do I know?

Not to sound like a total noob or anything, but what does MAS stand for? I want that spoiler for my Dart as well

    transporters ??

The funny thing is that all of these transporters (the drivers themselves) are liable for any damage that comes to those cars. I wanted to be a car hauler because of all the money they make, till they told me that BS. To DAS' credit, they do have enclosed transport, although I have no idea how...

    Ebay...Slant Six Turbo Setup.

I have to disagree on the draw thru setup. Turbos themselves do get hot. Think about it. The turbine side is bolted to the exhaust side. I had a factory turbo car (sure it was an Eclipse) and I can assure you they get hot. And on the subject of intercoolers; while you don't need them at 6psi or...

    Turbo 440 duster

Do you know of a place to get turbo manifolds/headers for a small block. I would love a nice 78mm turbo on a 360 in my Dart, but I can't find a turbo manifold for it. Also wouldn't your 440 run weird because only 1 bank is running the turbo and the other flows normally?

    Stroker Smallblock cost

To answer an older question, the 465 hp 410 stroker costs $11,500. And the 540hp 440 stroker costs $11,995 (single carb).

    408 Cam Opinions Needed

I don't think Racer Brown is around anymore. The two cams you are looking at should be okay, but I have no experience. I've heard Comp's cams are great and their recommendation should give you at least a ballpark figure. I would personally go with the cam they suggested. Comp's website doesn't...

    Big tires

I have a 75 Dart and I wanted to know how much tire I can run without a MP spring relocation kit. And how much can you run in the front. I would like to go straight, and pull 1g in the corners. I do not yet know if I will be sticking with a small block if that matters

    What times should I expect?

Another thing you guys are forgetting is what altitude the track is at. Where I live the track is 4200 ft and that takes about a second off of the times (relative to sea level). Just my 2 cents

    Mopar vs Rice

Yeah the imports don't make much power in NA trim. You have to push 20+psi at them to make power and the motors last a month or so of hard drag racing. My limit with NA 4 cylinders is 240-270 hp (with Honda's). In a 2100 lb car, no torque, and a 8500-9300 rpm rev limit, they move well enough...

    desktop dyno help

I use it all the time. You can read straight off a cam spec card and input it. I personally use @.050" timing. Another thing is to get the correct head flow numbers. They make a big difference. One note is when you get into good flowing heads (like Indy's or Big Port Commando's) and big cams, it...

    Too many A bodies?

Where I live if a car (even in your driveway) doesn't move for a month and someone complains (they always do), the police show up and give you a warning followed by tickets. BS huh? This is why my Dart is in a storage shed

    440 in late A body

sounds like everybody says that the power is worth it. on a note, it's hard to find the good low deck 400's with the thick mains and it would be easier to find a pre thin wall casting 440. Does anybody know a good place to locate a good core, or better yet a running engine? By the way mid-low...

    440 in late A body

Yeah they had poor turning radius because tires would physically hit the headers. So the big question is: How much does it cost to swap to a 440? To build a 450 hp 408 will cost me $6000 from Speed-O-Motive and then the associated parts. A near stock 440 will make that plus the torque advantage...

    727 with overdrive?

They are the same length as a 727, but are a lot fatter. It would require major floorpan surgery. A better option would be a Gear Vendors overdrive.

    440 in late A body

I don't want to cut up my car, and I know you can make 500 hp with manifolds. Mr. Norm did it with the GSS 440 Darts, so I figured I can too. Still does anybody know how hard it is to get to the plugs?

    440 in late A body

I know this is a dumb question, but I'll get everybody's opinion. I pretty much know what it takes to put a RB motor in an A body (a 75 dart actually), which is special motor mounts (it is a 318 car so no K frame issues), a big block trans, and obviously a beefier rearend. Am I forgetting...

    BBQ in Idaho

    Skype

I haven't used it, but I'm a computer guy. Your best bet is to go online and search. That said I read an article comparing the VOIP service providers and Skype and Vonage weren't on the high list. I'd stick with your regular phone.

    Mopar vs Rice

A stock cuda. Maybe a 340 non AAR car. You are going to put an RB26DETT into a Cuda? In the S13-S15 they say the turbos don't fit well in left hand drive cars. The motor they used in Tokyo Drift was a RB25DET with the 26' twin turbo set up. Due to lack of torque and a light engine, it should...

Stock valve springs with this cam?

I know I need new springs. But this not an Extreme Energy cam, it is a High Energy cam. .454" lift and 268 degrees advertised duration is not a big cam but I'm guessing big enough to warrant new springs.

Stock valve springs with this cam?

Ok, that sounds fine. I was gonna use a Summit Stage 3 intake (Summit brand performer rpm). Does anybody know if that will clear in a late A body?

Stock valve springs with this cam?

That's what I thought. Also I can get a set of magnum heads cheap from a friend. I believe they have stock valve springs and they have been rebuilt. Will those work with that cam? And what does it take to convert to Magnum heads? I know I need pushrods, and aftermarket lifters (which I have)...
