    Actually I think a lot of guys at the 600 ish horsepower level would be players for a cheaper aftermarket block, something like the X block type offering was. Now such guys are making do with factory blocks.

    Well aware of the Ritter blocks. Which is why I said I wish there were MORE options. To my knowledge, that is the only option currently. There are tons of head options, basically one block option.

    I don’t even think it was so much speedmaster as it was etching the name on the copy like the original was. After seeing different posts on Facebook about it, I finally watched the video by the trans brake guy and agreed with him 100%. Personally, I would rather see somebody offer another block...

    If I had to guess, the limiting factor is the heads. Even fully ported, they are small on a 4 inch motor. I have had many a 4 inch motor wheeze the last couple hundred feet with such heads.     You appear to be down on power somewhere. Is this with trick flow heads? Don’t take me wrong.lol not trying to dog ya, but at 2900 pounds and 104 to the 1/8 I would expect a good bit more mph, even with a soft 60 foot.

    I am surprised peak torque is that high. Are you talking N/A? Heck my W5 deal with a pretty stout roller(273@50) only made peak torque about 5400 or a hair more. 422 inches.

    Vast majority of the contestants, interest, and tracks in general are East of the Mississippi. Many of these guys have jobs and work. Get too far away from home makes it unviable.
