    VR-200’s…… AGAIN…….

Same type/ size roller that Vic uses in his AMX that posts on here 268@50, 650 ish lift on a 106. The guy with the drag week 71 dart runs that cam too. I think this barracuda runs one a hair smaller duration wise. The heads hang in there good through 650 lift..

    VR-200’s…… AGAIN…….

I think the guy with this car has full exhaust all the way back and the convertor was off. It was run down in Cincinnati this past summer. ET’s and everything line up with the blue 71 Dart that averaged 9.95 while completing drag week. Kinda makes me want to do a roller in mine so it would run...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

For sure…and if I was no prep racing or was a guy who liked to terrorize the streets, the wide LSA would probably be the way to go because it’s going to make the car a good bit more soggy at the hit. Which is a good thing with bad traction or bad tires or both.

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

Track results and dyno results can and usually do differ. My car that I mentioned earlier in the thread ran within half a mile per hour with the 106 or 112. But the 106 was way way quicker. All the other incrementals were better. Roughly tenth and a half difference. I will always place track...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

I put LSA to the test a few years back My first W5 deal was slapping the heads onto an Eddie headed short block I was upgrading from. 11.5 compression flattop deal, 260/266 597/615 107 LSA cam. PHR did the cam. Flat tappet. Car went 10.30’s like that. Buddy at the time was/is a “ cam guru” who...

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

I am going to do that very thing to upgrade my program over the winter Biondo air shifter for my reverse pattern Turbo action shifter. Every person I have talked to says I am making a big upgrade. Can’t wait to launch the car and have nothing to do but race my opponent and not worry about...

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

Yep, same ones. That is running good, but the heads you just bought will run that good, or better. To me, I would go with an Indy head, back then which has/ had more potential. Which is why, along with cost for the total deal is why they never took off. I picked on Bill back then when he went...

    best camshaft brand

Have had great luck with Howard’s. They bought out all of Arringtons stuff. They now do all the Hughes cams as well.

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

I know a guy who ran those in a bracket car. They were fully ported by Ryan back then. The results weren’t that impressive.

Cool beans. That’s making serious steam. Twenty years ago I would have never believed we would have this renaissance of power like never before. Crazy.

    Anybody using air shifting

Thanks for the info Jay. I didn’t know you could mount the bottle horizontally. I am looking to use the digital delay Rpm controller too. Thinking it will help my deal, and make it easier, especially with all the 1/8 racing, to pay more attention to my opponent and less driving/ shifting the...

Looking at the Biondo setup for reverse manual turbo action 3 speed setup. With an rpm switch they offer as well.

Where did you mount your bottle? Do you like it regards more consistency Do’s and Dont’s How long do the 10oz bottles last Do you turn the bottle on after the burnout, then turn it off after the pass

Good. Kinda hard getting the 4 tubes into the collectors, but otherwise fine. Nice headers, real nice.

    MLS Gaskets

I would have zero issues running them, and not doing anything to them other than just retorquing them again. This all assumes there is nothing wrong with the gaskets. I have reused them on a 13 to 1 motor before with no issues. Cometic gaskets

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

Yep. And having had both eddies and the Bloomer heads( among others over the years) The Bloomers casting quality is better than anything else I have had. Some people seem to have a business related agenda to not like stuff. Gotta be something odd to not like great products for our cars.

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

And with excellent hardware. You poo poo the product, but the fact is, the head is WAY better than anything else available in a non offset head. Way better. If it was so easy, why hasn’t anybody else come remotely close? To me, I would rather spend 3k on a head setup specifically to my camshaft...

Notable Mopar races east of the Mississippi in 2025?

London is great, but it’s not near as big as Norwalk. Think this year there were 260 cars. Biggest year it’s had. I really like it, lots of fun. The “ big 4” regards racers.. is no doubt Norwalk, Dragway 42, Bowling Green and London. It’s too bad 3 of them are packed into about a 30 day window.

    Metal in oil

Agree. I have always broken in my stuff( after initial 1/2 hour cam breakin) by doing a long smokey burnout. I also can’t say as I agree with an opinion somebody posted to swap out the valve springs for something lighter. Springs being too light can cause enormous issues, spec the spring to what...
